I came in for a late lunch and ordered the daily combination plate, which was pricier than combos at many similar restaurants but also better quality and plenty large. My only substantial critique is that the fried rice was bland, I like mine with some green onion, garlic, fish sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, etc... the real deal. But the pork, and ginger beef were top notch.

The Coconut Tree has just moved to a new location, it's nice. I like the quaintness of the previous location down the street but this is nonetheless an improvement.

They have 3 specific vegetarian items (the veg noodle soup is in fact veg broth and they have a non-fish sauce for the vermicelli bowls) on the menu but the server told me there's lots of other things they can make veg e.g. chow mein, yellow curry etc.
She was overall very friendly and the whole experience was great. Food came out quick, too. I'd love to eat there again on my way through town.

The new location is wonderfull, warm and bright. The staff and owner are wonderfull people. We had a wonderfull conversation about Vietnam where I live now and talked about various places in and around Vung Tau. The food is is tasty and plentyfull servings.

With Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese options, you are sure to find something that works your taste buds.

Singapore curry noodles is what I ordered and I was satisfied with the portion and the product. Prices are a bit high and parking can be a bit tough (no dedicated parking lot) so 3 stars it is. They have distancing measures in place and staff was masked. The garden roll (not to be confused with spring roll) was mostly vermicelli, missing that thai Basil I'm used too. The yellow curry was had with tofu (for you vegetarians), and seemed a bit bland, but that's a personal preference.

All in all, good service with decent food but the prices would keep me from being a regular.

Attempted the fried chicken for lunch today. Comes cut up into strips. Chicken was raw. Not under cooked - raw. There is little excuse to serve uncooked chicken that has been cut up after cooking and put on the plate. Ended up going across the street. Disappointing to say the least.

Went for dinner here and had their beef satay noodle soup. The serving portion was huge and definitely plenty of leftover afterwards. Lots of noodles and tasted quite good. They serve hot sauce and hoisin sauce you add to the pho for heat and taste. Only thing I would have liked to see more are bean sprouts and green onion. The service was also excellent as well. Would definitely go back.

Their vermicelli bowls are just perfect - right up there with anything I've had in Vietnam. They also make a very legit Vietnamese coffee. Service was quick and friendly. Can't wait to go back.
