We were in Powell River for a car show. We were staying in a Suite with a kitchenette so we decided to pick up some dinner from the Convenient Chef that we happened upon by chance. The cooks were very helpful showing us the various options and making some recommendations. We decided on the lasagne for one meal and the seafood pasta for a second meal. We fed 4 people for both meals with garlic toast and salad added from the grocery store. The taste and quality of the food is second to none. The seafood pasta was full of large shrimp, fish (possibly cod) and scallops. Easy to heat up and reasonably priced. I can't say enough good about these folks. I would certainly purchase food from them again and would recommend this to anyone staying in Powell River with a kitchenette.

Stayed a week in Powell River at a marvellous location with full kitchen so decided to eat in with some of Chef Steve’s creations. Definitely NOT disappointed with any of the frozen dinners we chose. In my opinion he’s a talented guy that made meals a treat and a breeze. Would like to take him home with me!

I do recommend these guys. I like the meals for the most part and the convenience. The reason for 4 out of 5 stars is that I was quite disappointed that their crabs cakes were not homemade. It was crab cakes and fried rice so crab cakes are the main protein. The crab cakes are the same ones I have previously bought in grocery stores for like 1.50$ each - Mrs Friday crab cakes I belief... and I’m pretty sure they are imitation crab! Was just hoping for homemade. It does make me wonder what else isn’t homemade, but I will still purchase from them.

I was in Powell River for a month for work and didn't want to eat out every night. I swung by convenient chef to check out their offerings and was very impressed. Not only can you see where they make the food and their ingredients, they also change the menu you frequently. They also worked to help create something that would work with my dietary restrictions. I highly recommend !

Our Thanksgiving turkey dinner was great! Everything was perfectly cooked (loved the chunky carrots) and portion sizes were good. Great value for the price

We picked up the crab cakes and Fisherman's pie. So, so good. 10/10 for flavour! It felt like 5 * dining at home. We'll definitely be back.

Just had fried chicken and fries
It was yummy. Will only eat occasionally as it is a treat and puts me above 1800 calories a day. But so worth it!

What a great option to have in Powell River. We have tried several of the vegetarian options and they were all delicious. Thank you for offering them. The convenient chef offers pre-cooked meals that are frozen in easy to defrost and heat containers.
