One of our adult sons was in town and I suggested to my wife that we check out Country Crumbs Bakery & Cafe for a late lunch. It’s downtown and we all really enjoyed our lunch and we were very impressed with the excellent quality and price of its baking. I had taken my aunt and uncle here in the summer, when they were visiting and we sat outside at a table and had a lovely lunch as well.

I had their peanut butter Nanaimo bar in the summer and it was so good that I have been pining for it ever since. Luckily for me, it must be a regular treat that they make, as they had a few there to buy when I visited again. I loved it so much, that I bought the last one to take home. I make peanut butter Nanaimo bars at for Christmas and these are even better than mine! A bakery is as good as their Nanaimo bars, as far as I am concerned and these are killer!

We all had sandwiches: two turkey and cheese and an egg sandwich. They were all on wonderful, crispy, flavourful cheese croissants and they were delicious. I also had a sausage roll, which was hot and it was great too. We all had different hot drinks as well, and they were all tasty.

Country Crumbs is a smaller bakery, with limited seating, and some extra outdoor seating in the summer. They make homemade soups as well, which they sell frozen here and at some local markets, but it is not available on the weekends. The soups and sandwiches do sell out quickly, so be sure to hit them up early. They sell lovely looking day old bread and baking on shelves and you can’t beat the price.

All in all, a killer local bakery with excellent baked goods, soup and sandwiches in downtown Medicine Hat. They also have cakes in their freezer and you can special order them as well. We will definitely be back!

We had ordered donuts for a school event which was the first time I had heard about this little place. The donuts were so good that I wanted to visit to try other goodies. Stopped in for lunch, had pizza buns, some desserts and a coffee. We were even given a free cupcake to try, which was delicious. Service was great and there were places to sit, eat or just enjoy your coffee both inside and out. Highly recommend.

I picked up a couple cinnamon maple croissants to take home for my wife and I, and when we got into them for dessert that night we were absolutely astounded by how good they were! We've had small bakery stuff before and love it but these were next level! They clearly did this delicacy justice with liberal amounts of butter as you're supposed to!
Prices are high, but you aren't getting grocery store bakery quality either!

I will be back the girls at work and I enjoyed everything the raspberry sweet rolls are so freaking good ! It was all fantastic everything in the shop looked so good it was hard to choose ! Definitely we will be back everyone wants a pizza bagel !!

A cheerful little place to get a very nice cup of coffee to go with your tasty treat. The bagels are very nice, plain, cheese, addressed (especially with jalapenos).
I guess it's not a new addition to down town but im glad it's there and seems to be sticking around.

I stopped by a different bakery today, but after reading the reviews, I opted not to enter. Instead, I searched for Country Crumbs bakery on Google and gave them a call. They shared details about their delightful baked goods, which convinced me to check out their offerings. They certainly had some appealing treats, especially the donuts and cinnamon buns. I ended up purchasing two loaves of bread, one white and the other cinnamon. The only downside was that they currently lack a bread slicer or the space for one, which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, they would have received a five-star rating from me.

I had lunch at Country Crumbs Bakery and Cafe today. Wow! The food was delicious and fresh! It was very busy but the service was quick and the server was friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. The owner always has a smile for me and a short chat. I love eating there. I always feel welcome and enjoy the food so much!
