Had a great experience getting my nails done here. The lady who did my nails was very friendly and did an incredible job!

When I got my nails done here, the guy who was doing them was very aggressive As he was doing my nails, I don’t know if he was having a bad day but even if so, don’t take it out on your customers, because shortly after I left the next day, I saw small bruises on my hand because of how rough he was treating my hand, Also, my nails were kind of crooked. I paid $102 for nails that weren’t even that long to begin with When I was talking to somebody about it, they told me I got ripped off

I don’t like it here because it was so much money when l could just do it myself, it was every simple it was just a a glitter yellow l think cost 120$ the person that did my nails was every aggressive with my nails l just like trying to be nice be respectful and stuff he just looked tired and bothered. Every time he told me to move my hands he had an attitude they only lasted 4 days before peeling off l don’t recommend him at all he is asian and has a lot hair? Pretty sure. But the way he does ur nails makes me uncomfortable he grips ur fingers to do ur nails and paint job was good. Not even my family recommends him he always looks Exhausted and ever has the time to be nice or have small conversations.

In addition to reporting this business to consumer affairs, I am posting review as well. The pedicure itself was deserving of 3 stars but it was the shady billing at end that has shocked me. When the person I was with mentioned cost was $147 for two basic pedicures without polish, I immediately asked for bill. There was no breakdown of pricing and I knew their brochure was $50+ (50 for basic). I called and asked them to explain the price, I was told they charged ten dollars to remove polish and then the tax. I explained this doesn’t add up to the final cost.He then advised we were charged for the “tools used”. I said you mean the implements required to actually do the pedicure and he said yes. I was shocked. It’s not like we left with them and how were they going to do the pedicure? The price of this basic pedicure alone is ridiculous and double the cost I would pay in BC and now they add in fake charges of tool cost when I challenge their billing. This is consumer fraud and they took advantage of my elderly mother being finished first and choosing to pay before I was finished in my chair. DO NOT GO HERE.

Not thrilled to have to write about this negative experience I had at Darling Nail Spa this morning.

I’d like to start with, I’ve been a customer here for four years and have always had a pleasant experience until today.

My mother and I went for pedicures yesterday. After getting back to our Airbnb, my mother and I showed each other our pedicures. Mine was beautiful, mom’s was done quite poorly. Their seemed to be too much polish as it was spilling over her toe nails and onto her skin, as well the polish hadn’t been completely dried and there was cotton from her socks now dried and stuck into the polish.

My mom was understandable disappointed, after paying $70 for this pedicure. I assured her we could remedy this no problem, I would go back to Darling Spa in the morning and speak with staff. My mom wouldn’t be joining me as she had a medical appointment at the hospital ( which was the reason for our trip to the area, we live 2 hours away ).

I arrived at Darling Spa and calmly began explaining the results of the pedicure my mom received yesterday to the lady at the front , Tammy, who immediately began to cut me off, interrupt me and raise her voice. I asked her to lower her voice and there was no need to get so escalated- this is a simple fix.
I attempted to suggest different solutions to ensure my mother could receive what she paid for- but could hardly get a word in as Tammy, who claimed to be the manager, continued to speak over me, not listen to me try to explain why my mother wasn’t in with me and was trying her best to embarrass me- all in front of other staff and customers who were visably uncomfortable with her tone of voice.

There were a lot of simple ways to handle this- and I was open to any of them- the only scenario that couldn’t happen was that my mother couldn’t be at Darling Spa today ( as I said, she had to be at the hospital today and then we were returning home after procedure ).

Having someone represent your business who is that hot headed, unprofessional, rude and disrespectful to customers is going to continue to get negative results.

I would like to point out that I have always had positive experiences at Darling Spa in the past- all other staff have always been professional and polite.

Two thumbs down for your terrible attitude Tammy. Mistakes happen and services can be fixed without customers being spoken to with so much disrespect. I hope your superiors read this and make appropriate adjustments.

This was my second visit. On the first visit, I received a mani-pedi. Gel French, regular polish on toes. It was an acceptable first visit. One that I would have given a good rating. My second visit was not good. I made the appointment so that I could have the French gel removed, because picking it off wreaks havoc on the nail bed. The tech used a small grinder to remove the gel/French a d used the grinder on my toe nails I stead of remover. I asked that a clear coat relece the French and the red toes.
Problem: terrible manicure. One coat of clear polish, no time spent on calluses. Terribly cuticle treatment. To the point that it is Sunday today and my nails are not nice looking. I filed them again myself. Cost:115.00. Last visit.

I’ve had acrylics for over a year. First time at Darling.

The staff argued and raised voices with several customers. The language barriers are significant making it hard to communicate your needs. The shop is dirty and poorly ventilated.

Manicure: Within a couple days the polish started peeling. One nail completely broke in half. The shellac looks thick and bumpy. I had to ask her to file the underside. She did not check for eveness.

Pedicure: my big toe nails were cut way too short and the sides cut out deep. The rest of the nails were not filed; some cut short, some left longer. They will probably grow back ingrown. The colour is thick, bumpy and doesn’t properly cover my nails.

I tried to speak to an associate but he only repeated text book responses like “you need to communicate if you want nails shorter”. Clearly, he wasn’t interested in listening to me or providing any kind of customer support.
