We had a very relaxing dinner in this quaint restaurant with friendly and attentive servers. The good was fresh and served in huge portions, perfect for a chilly November night. Finished with a schnapps that would blow your socks off but keeps you warm on the long walk back to the lodge.

My husband and I really enjoyed our evening supper at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very relaxing and quiet. Our server was really good and we certainly enjoyed learning about the history of Canmore. My husband ordered the Paprika Goulash which was absolutely delicious! He also ordered the regular schnitzel and I ordered the Hunter schnitzel which we both very much enjoyed. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We have been eyeing this restaurant since we arrived in Canmore but saved the best for our last evening in town. The food was phenomenal! Our picky 14 year old cleaned his plate (Hunter Schnitzel) and said it was excellent. I also had the Hunter and loved it! Highly recommended! Ambiance and vibe at the restaurant is on point!

Had a wonderful dinner there last night. The food and service were great too. Hot tip: the large pretzel is quite large. Get it to share for 2 or 3 as an appetizer. I would recommend phoning ahead for a reservation especially during weekends and peak season.

We like the casual, homey feeling of this restaurant. We have been before and have found the schnitzel to be delicious and good portions. We had the hunter schnitzel and the Vienna Plate (schnitzel w trio of sausage). We would have liked to have some kind of description on which sausage was which so we could determine our favorite. The purple cabbage was a bit too sweet for our liking.

The only thing that marred our experience was our server. We had to request multiple times for the bread that comes with the salad and we had to request drinks a few times. We didn’t hear about the nightly specials and overheard another server detailing it to another table after we had already ordered. It was also difficult to get her attention to get our bill. Normally we would give the server the benefit of the doubt that she might be new or an off night but we have been there twice and both times with this server.land both times, service was dismal.

Really enjoyed the various schnitzels. Love the wood beam effect and decor. Comfortable seating and excellent service. Highly recommend.
Of the three schnitzel we had the Tender Schnitzel got the most votes for best.
Great value for dollar, the portions are substantial and filling.

Such a great restaurant, great authentic atmosphere, beers and food. King schnitzel is such a great deal, great bang for your buck! German potato salad, warm red cabbage and savoury spatzel all great. Love the location and ambience, has real good euro mountain vibes
