De Luca’s is fantastic. It was recommended to me by a friend who grew up in Winnipeg, I was told it’s a must visit and I wasn’t lead astray. I had the steak panini and it was excellent. My favourite part was the bread, which is typically an insult to a good sandwich. This isn’t to say the simple fillings weren’t great, because they were, but they help highlight the bread without distracting you from it. Not every sandwich has to be a double bacon cheeseburger and that’s what I appreciated about the panini. The coffee was excellent and I was even given a cookie after I ate. I would recommend this place to anyone who lives or visits Winnipeg!

The restaurant is so very generous with their eat all you can pasta. Very affordable for $14. Staffs are very accommodating. The carbonara is very authentic. Love the pistachio cream!

A hidden little gem on Portage avenue!
The food is made right there, not boil in bag or microwaved.
Portions and service makes you feel like you are at your grandmothers home❤️
A big shout out goes to Dina, Santana, Anastasia and Catiana. These ladies are fantastic at what they do.
A great place to pop in for lunch or afternoon coffee break

Great Italian grocery store! The prices are a little higher but the selection of food is impressive! They even have bresaola. We haven’t tried their pastries but they look delicious. They have a parking lot in the back. If you are looking for Italian items this is the place! They also sell kitchen tools. Absolutely recommended!

I tried pastas, taste was wonderful. Portion was good too. Staff was very friendly, especially Chris, he was very helpful and friendly. If someone goes there for the first time like me, i will highly recommend to take suggestions from Chris!

Twice i have purchased the steak sandwich the first time my stomach was highly unhappy after I decided to give it another try and once again my stomach was very unhappy after. Perhaps the freshness is not monitored or the prep work is unsanitary I do not know but also 1/3 of the steak was unchewable. I do like the store overall they have a lot of great items and the service is really good. I just dont appreciate the stomach pain.

De Luca’s is a fun place to shop. Their prices are higher for basic items you can easily get at larger grocery stores, but the pull of this place are their specialty items that they make on site. The fennel sausage is especially good and they have an array of fresh pasta which is perfect should you host an Italian dinner and you want to make something with free noodles. Their bakery is pretty good and they have a fine selection of speciality olive oils and vinegars (you can taste a number of them if you ask). Some of their imports are good too (e.g., canned cerignola olives) and are tough to find elsewhere. I’ve checked out some of their cooking classes in the past. It’s fun, but observational only while seated at group tables. Still, it can be a nice evening with friends with decent food. I’ve never tried the restaurant upstairs for lunch, but I hear it’s good.

I went here to enjoy the all you can eat pasta on Sunday with my girlfriend, her sister and her two kids. Shout out Emily for giving them chocolates and colouring books and being okay with them running around the table for a bit. You really made their day and it was very kind of you. Food was delicious as always.
