We have been fishing with Paul and Sheryl for 20+ years. We even used to fish these lakes prior to their making massive improvements when they took over those many years ago. We used to have to take a train into the area. Now, with a road cut in and perfect log cabins, it's a "resort", with the best purveyors you could wish for. ||||Previous review disparaging Paul is way off base. Paul is a "character" with a great sense of humor, incredible work ethic, and a wife that "he out-punted his coverage too"... Sheryl is an absolute angel (and works twice as hard as Paul). ||||Fishing is great. From catching dinner walleyes as fast as you can cast( kids LOVE THIS), to lunker northerns and good lake trout fishing. The action is non-stop.||||If you happen to be there during blueberry season, we have been known to leave a pail of berries on the porch in the morning, only to return in the afternoon to find a pie or crumble magically appeared!||||Only suggestion.... you have to book early, they fill up right away, often a year in advance.

I've been up there twice in the last 4 years during the fall. Nice cabins with hot water, flushing toilets, hot showers. Everything is powered by solar power with battery banks, really cool! All the lights are 12 volt there so bring a flashlight and lantern when walking around at night since you want to conserve the batteries. Our friend has one of those sleep machines to help him breath, he used it every night we were there (bring ac/dc converter with), I think one day the owner had to recharge the battery bank with a generator due to it being cloudy outside. So if you expect to run a laptop, bring a converter with you to recharge it in your vehicle. The refrigerator, stove and hot water heater are propane powered. The fridge works great but if you have beverages then I would bring an extra cooler for them. Great fishing, there are 3 lakes within 10 minutes of the main camp; each lake has different species of fish. It's very weird to go out on these lakes and fish, there are no houses/docks/other boats just you and nature! I'm not much of a fisherman but I always catch fish up there!||||All in all I always have a great time up there, eat lots of fresh fish drink some Canadian beer what could be better!

Two hard working people who do their best to see that you enjoy your hunting and fishing experience. One for two with a bear hunt, caught trout and walley. Got more than my monies worth in experience. The cabins are hand build, clean and ready to go.Even my wife would stay here. Going back in May of 2018.

Great people, they provided anything needed and the fishing was great. The Cabin was clean and what a great location. Outstanding fish cleaning station at the cabin. The boats and docks were just right.

Harassed when you fish Bawden lake without going through there Outpost, people think they own the lake and everything around it, and he wouldn't tell you otherwise! Wouldn't consider going through them when you can access the lakes yourself with a little adventure.. used to fish the lakes every year for 20+ years untill the fishing quality changed from over fishing.. sad how a few shmucks can ruin a good thing... Look elsewhere for your Ontario trips!

The best fishing the best hunting and the best price in Canada one of the nicest places I've ever been to the cabins are beautiful they Supply everything you need beside your food the owners of the lodge are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet there hospitality is amazing they make you feel like you're part of the family.

Owners harass you if you fish the bawden lake without going through them, guy also claims to own land that isn't his to detour​ you from fishing Bawden Lake, lake is overfished, no world class size fish like there used to be, all got fished out, dude runs 6 boats all day everyday during the summer.. there's lodges everywhere else where you could find better quality fish.. fished Bawden Lake for 20+ years before this guys trashed the lake and the experience... ||Stay away!
