One of my favourite spots in Port Alberni.
The food is always fresh yet. I have to say it could be busy yet. They always deliver it quickly. The chef working Behind the curtain, you would think he was doing martial arts back there with just how fast he brings his delicious plates out to the table. I’m telling you if you’re in Port Alberni come to this place and enjoy an incredible meal. Trust me. It is the place to go.

Top quality, authentic Japanese experience. Best tonkotsu ramen I have ever eaten, and I also enjoy the sushi here. Delicious! Make a reservation or order for pickup, they are only open for a short time and it can be super busy, but it's totally worth it.

Mixed review.
Had 4 items off their menu
14/10 for the prawn and yam tempura. Highly reccomend!!
10/10 for edamae. Very good.
0/10 for the beef phō (broth was cloudy, cilantro flavored water with over cooked deli sliced beef and no toppings).
5/10 miso soup (no seaweed or onion and had trouble telling the miso apart from the phō broth due to how cloudy the phō broth was).
I'll oder again, but never the phō.

One of the best tonkatsu ramen spots I’ve tried! Rich, flavorful broth with perfectly cooked noodles and tender pork. Service is always fast and efficient, even when they’re busy. Great value for the price — generous portions without breaking the bank. Definitely my to-go place.

I travelled all the way from Nanoose Bay. This is a must try dish. I also love chicken karaage and house salad. Worth the travel. 💕

Had the Doki Doki Ramen. I want to try other things on the menu but this dish was sooo good that I'm not sure I can. Once you've tried it you will understand.

Probably the best Japanese restaurant in Port Alberni IMO. I tried the Chicken Yaki Udon and it was very tasty. The service was great, very polite. Overall the place was tidy and clean, dirty tables were cleaned up as soon as the customer had left, so very efficient. There were a few orders before mine but I felt that considering that my order was out on my table in the appropriate amount of time. It was definitely hot and I had asked for two ingredients to be left out of the dish. It was made exactly as I had wanted so kudos to both the server and the chef. I understand that this is a family run business, I know that I'll be coming back to try out some more tasty dishes.

This restaurant serves mostly Japanese cuisine (although not authentic) as well as Pho at the same time. Owned by a nice korean family.

The ramen were frozen ramen packets you can buy at the grocery stores and the soup was definitely not pork bone soup simmered for hours. They did try to make some fusion taste and it was ok but because of the lack of work needed to make this, it should not be priced similar to real ramen. Also comes with a button mushroom disguised as a shitake mushroom.

The udon soup was on par with other japanese restaurants since the dashi stock is fairly easy to make. The portion is very huge and the taste is not bad. The tempura was fried nicely. This one is priced fairly.

Since Port Alberni lacks authentic Japanese cuisines, this is all they have. Taste-wise is ok for a fusion palate.

My favorite sushi place in town!! Absolutely amazing, fresh and so delicious! The cheese tempura is one of my favs!!
