Drop 'n' Hop Play Cafe - Sylvan Lake, Alberta

We booked Drop N Hop Café in Sylvan Lake last minute for a birthday party, and the experience was absolutely wonderful! The owner was incredibly responsive and accommodating. She went above and beyond—decorating the party room in our favorite purple color and even offer face painting, which the kids loved.

We had access to the virtual sports room for the full two-hour booking, which added a ton of fun and excitement. The staff - all the girls working there - were kind, respectful, and very attentive. The space is clean, bright, and really thoughtfully designed for kids.

The party room was cozy and convenient, making it super easy for the kids to gather, eat, and enjoy their treats. Speaking of treats—the cupcakes were not only beautiful but also incredibly tasty!

Even though my kids are already 10, they had a blast pretending to be firefighters again—so much laughter and fun. Highly recommend this place for parties or just a fun outing. We’ll definitely be back!

Ps: they have pretty good coffee choice for tired parents hahaha

I have a 9 and 14 year old so the play place area is too little for them, but they have a sports simulator room! Prices were great and my kids played all different sports for 2 hours!

Had a great day today! Came in with a bigger group and rented the party room. I highly reccomend it! We were welcomed warmly and got great service. Great coffee as well. It fit 8 kids easily and a few adults. If you're looking for a spot to host a birthday party or event for kids, this is a perfect option here in Sylvan Lake. We didn't call ahead, so we're lucky it was available. In future I would call ahead to confirm it's availability.

This is a great place to bring kids if they need to run off some energy! The play structure is a decent size, and there's a sectioned-off area for Littles 3 & under. There's also a sitting area to keep the snacks and drinks at while a parent hangs out and the kids play. They have 2x pay-to-play sports VR-type areas. We drove from Red Deer and I feel it's worth the drive! Remember your socks as this is a sock-only space 🙂

We had a birthday party here yesterday and the kids had a blast. I love that they decorate the party room for you with a theme of your choice! If they don't have the theme that you want, you can drop off decorations ahead of time and they set it up for you! They went above and beyond even making cute little party bags in our theme, because I paid for the decorations. I wasn't expected that but it was so thoughtful. The employees were all very nice and kept checking on us to make sure everything was okay. We will be back and I will recommend this place to all my friends. Thanks for the awesome party!

This place is so fantastic! It was a windy day so we took are 2.5 year old triplets to play. There are so many things for younger and older kids to do and you can also order from their menu for lunch! We had hotdogs and fries and the portion is were big and prices were fair. Hotdogs are like Costco hotdogs.
They have a sand table with interactive digging so they found fossils which was really cool and there were different settings on that to choose from. They had sooooo much fun. Will definitely be coming again.

They also have an interactive sport thing that we didn't try

Decent place. Missing alot of toys in the food, doctor and fire fighter section.

The ball pit was dirty, we avoided it.

The girl who worked the early shift today was great. Super sweet girl.

Sand box is awesome but so messy everywhere.

Had a birthday party in April for my son who was turning 6. The communication was great and overall seamless. The party went great and the staff was awesome to work with. The kids had a great time. I would highly recommend!! Thank you Drop’n’Hop for providing an amazing bday party!
