Fabled Bean - Cobourg, Ontario

We happened to walk into this new cafe in Cobourg. I am not a coffee drinker, but love the aromas and know good coffee. As per my husband, the coffee was excellent; my tea was hood as well. We bought a pack of their coffee beans as they smelled heavenly. Slice if the lemon and poppy seed loaf was perfect. We couldn't try the sandwiches as the were sold out; they bake their own bread. What I liked was the thoughtful gesture if making lemon infused water available for customers. The hosts engaged with all customers. The only thing that could be better is asking customers if they need coffee to stay or go. I would have preferred reusable mugs instead of take out. Good luck with this new endeavour!

This is such a cute little cafe and roastery in the heart of Cobourg, located right next to the beautiful Victoria Hall. The cafe is warm, bright and very welcoming, giving off very chill vibes with some nice music.
We ordered a flat white, a tea and some pastries. They also have bagels, wraps and sandwiches.
The highlight was definitely their coffee though. They roast their own beans and sell them as well. The branding is on point and so much fun, with mythical names and stories behind each of the beans they sell. 10/10 would recommend and would definitely visit again!

Fabled Bean has been one of my favourite coffee shops for the longest time. Always great food, (croissants are amazing), the coffee, the ambience, and the coffee beans are a favourite of mine. The service was probably one of the most memorable. Stephanie was so kind, came to check on us as we sat outside and took great care of us. Thank you Fabled Bean and Stephanie!!

I met Valerie at the annual Hastings Medieval Event. I was gifted Wind in 'Yer Sails after helping out with her set up. With a busy life I normally only drink what's fast and available, Tim Horton’s mostly. However, after drinking Fabled Bean, I will never go back to the generic, mass produced and industrialized coffees found on every street corner again.

My usual coffees I make do with. I have changed my coffee preferences a few times over the years, from mocha to double-doubles, to now just plain milk. I have come to enjoy the flavor of an unsweetened coffee, and for this, I can recommend no better than Fabled Bean.

I am no expert on coffee, nor a connoisseur, but Wind in 'Yer Sails by Fabled Bean is the smoothest morning coffee I've ever had!

I actually fell in love with coffee ☕️ when I first traveled to Italy back in 2015!
This is when I discovered black coffee can actually taste amazing when it’s done right!

Fabled Beans has nailed this and they do it exceptionally well!
There is no comparison around here for the quality and taste.

They are wonderful and the service is above par!

A place to learn about different coffees, even my partner has a new appreciation for coffee and how it should taste.

We look forward to our walks and quality time spent sitting in the cafe and drinking our coffee and the delectable eats they have as well!

Thank you for bringing me back to Italy and for bringing this gem to Cobourg.

This place is so cute and cozy! My boyfriend and I stopped in last week and we absolutely loved the bagel and egg sandwiches along with a peppermint hot chocolate and a very delicious peppermint mocha!
We definitely would recommend this cute little cafe great food, hot drinks, snacks and good service!

What a great coffee shop. I asked for a 'pour over' coffee, explaining to Nick, the co-owner, that I was still chasing how to make the perfect cup of coffee. Nick took the time to give me a education on how to achieve my "coffee dream," as well was very patient answering my questions and explaining his new business. Nick obviously has a passion for all thing coffee.

The coffee Nick produced was on point.

Great location, reasonable prices, comfortable atmosphere (love the clean lines throughout). I can envision Fabled Beans becoming a "must go to" Cobourg coffee shop.

I am new to town and had a wonderful conversation with Dominic (one of the owners) who recommended so many things to do. The music is fun yet calming, the seating is modern and comfortable and the coffee smells SUPERB. The cappuccino was beautifully crafted, the cream cheese bagel was toasted to perfection and melts in your mouth, and the apple fritter was the best midday snack.
Definitely recommend a visit, even just for the story.
