Malgré le bon accueil de certains du personnel, le service est vraiment médiocre; propreté de la chambre pas top, ménage pas fait régulièrement ou sommairement (lit fait mais salle de bain pas nettoyée depuis 1 semaine);
Cheveux sur les draps lors de mon arrivée le 1er jour….. bref la propreté laisse à désirer

Une véritable déception pour ce séjour au Fairfield Inn & Duites by Marriott de Guelph. L'endroit est absolument détestable à proximité de l'autoroute. Une forte odeur de chlore (venant de la piscine) vous arrache la gorge dès que vous entrez et est toujours aussi perceptible depuis la salle du petit-déjeuner. Les chambres sont acceptables mais lia mienne - 223 - donne sur les poubelles ! Petit-déjeuner très très moyen. Rapport qualité prix inacceptable.

My family and I stayed here for a couple of nights earlier this week and we were very impressed with our experience. The service was great, room was clean, and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Debbie really stood out in making our experience awesome! We needed to get a new sheet for the bed and said we would take care of fixing the bed back up, but Debbie got us what we needed and sent someone to our room to take care of it for us. Also, my six year old son was really excited about his second time ever staying in a hotel and accidentally called 911 no longer than fifteen minutes after we checked in. Debbie called our room to make sure everything was okay and was super understanding when we explained what happened. Our family would definitely stay here again as the experience was top notch for such an affordable stay. Thank you!!

Currently staying at this hotel . Front desk staff are very cordial and professional . Rooms and general areas have a high standard of cleanliness. Rooms are very nice as well with very comfortable beds and bedding. Nice touches like a microwave and full length mirror in the rooms . Complimentary breakfast has more choices and is of higher quality than compared to other similar hotels . Will return for sure

Pretty decent hotel to stay. The breakfast spread was good. Limited options for vegan/vegetarian but sufficient enough to fill your stomach. The swimming pool was the main highlight of the hotel. It’s busy but you can find a spot easily. Their fitness center was well equipped too for a quick workout. Staff was courteous. We had a good stay.

Room Left Unsecured – No Real Accountability from Hotel or Marriott

I stayed at this Fairfield Inn in Guelph and had a deeply concerning experience. Due to a reservation handling error, my room was mistakenly treated as checked out, the door was left propped open, and my personal belongings were left fully exposed. My food was thrown out without consent.

I initially tried to resolve the issue directly with the hotel manager, but it went nowhere. She even called my wife’s phone number, which was listed only as an alternate contact, despite my request for email communication.

I then contacted Marriott support. They acknowledged the issue, gave me 5,000 points (roughly $20–$35) and promised a $20 reimbursement for the food, which I never received. After that, they stopped following up entirely.

It’s now been over a week past their stated support window with no resolution. I made every effort to handle this privately and fairly. I’m sharing this review so others are aware of how issues like this may be handled at this property—and by Marriott.

Unfortunately, we had a poor experience with this hotel and the front desk manager. Despite being flagged for daily housekeeping, our room was not cleaned after the first night. In discussing this situation with the manager DS, she had a very edgy tone, and was not at all apologetic for the situation. In resolving the matter she said she had to talk to the employees and get back to me. The room was cleaned the next day and on our way out, I asked DS what the outcome of her discussions were. She responded with "employee error". Again, no apology. So later that day, upon coming back to the hotel at approx 7pm, we again find that our room had not been cleaned. Two days out of three. There is clearly an issue with DS, as she is also in charge of housekeeping.|Just a note on the facilities. This place is a Marriott branded location, and as such, the facilities themselves are in|great condition. However the actual rooms have so much light in them at night that it would definitely bother light sensitive people. The blackout drapes are not long enough and allow light to leak out from the bottom. The alarm clock light is so strong we had to cover it with a towel, etc etc etc.
