This is a stunning new cafe just opened in downtown Edmonton. It’s obvious how much thought, heart, and soul went into the planning and creation of this wonderful place. It’s very early days (they’ve only been open 1 week!) and their food and beverage menus are still evolving and expanding, but everything my friends and I have tried in our visits so far have been delicious. And the atmosphere is phenomenal! Such an adventure with so much to look at and explore. It’s special to have a heritage building celebrated in this way. If you want somewhere unique and comforting to spend some time, this is your place. And the staff are all second to none. Very informative about their menu and this historic location. Thank you, Fawkes, for bringing this gem to Edmonton. [And I didn’t get a photo (too delicious-they were gone before I realized I didn’t get a photo of them!) but the green onion cakes are scrumptious! They come with a sriracha-mayo dip. Yum.]

Stunning and cozy cafe in the heart of Edmonton. Staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and kind - the food is fresh and delicious. The doughnuts are also known to be the best in existence. The cafe is furnished with dark green walls, dark wood tones, mismatched comfortable seating and plenty of tables. Beautiful experience and way start or continue your day!

I love the elegant vintage interior of this cafe. It makes you want to stay there for hours. It was busy when we went so we just ordered to go lattes. The coffee tasted a bit strong for me but it just depends on personal preference. There is a paid parking beside the building and lots of restaurants nearby. Will try the dessert and other items in the menu next time.

I went here for lunch today, and thought the Chicken Pesto Sandwich sounded delicious with a side cup of soup for $15! However, I was a bit disappointed to find just 1 slice of deli-style chicken on the sandwich, and about a 3/4 cup of soup.
I was expecting actual shredded or chopped chicken breast to be honest, or at least more than one slice of chicken for the price I paid. And then to top it off, not even a full cup of soup?

The atmosphere is very cool though, and I love the decor! The staff were very nice and service was quick and comfortable.
I will be back to try some specialty coffee and maybe a baked good as thats what they appear to be known for.

The cinnamon bun was delicious, and the dairy free cream cheese icing on top was so yummy! I have tried a handful of the donut flavors, and they are all consistently good. The coffee is reasonably priced as compared to other cafes in the area. The interior of the cafe is absolutely beautiful with a really nice atmosphere. Staff are also really friendly, and they have a nice selection of beans to take home!

Went here to try something new and local, and it was amazing! Loved the atmosphere and the coffee was delicious and smooth! The b-scotti is wonderful and they have great vegan donuts! Can’t recommend enough!

Great coffee spot with stunning architecture, vibes, and atmosphere.

Food: latte and coffee was solid, but have had better in the city. Doughnuts were good with nice selection. Didn’t see the lunch/other menu items until I got to the till but would like to try it next time.

Service: friendly when ordering, but it’s a clean up after yourselves kind of spot, so we wiped down our down table and put away our own dishes. Didn’t get a thank you from staff when we did either and 2 were right by the bin. So, not too sure why we tipped 15% upfront.

Atmosphere: AMAZING! I was so in awe with the design and decor. Loved the variety of seating, little nooks, chess table. Lots of seating. Great place for a date, catch up with friends, read, study, people watching, etc… love the vibe. It looks like getting this place set up was 2 years (and ongoing) worth of effort.

Value: prices were very reasonable for downtown! I was very pleasantly surprised.

Overall, I’d definitely would come back and would recommend to others.
