Authentic Indian cuisine at great prices. Highly recommend.

One suggestion for the restaurant would be to serve meat that’s slaughtered by the jhatka method. This would be more inclusive to Hindu diners and also a humane method of slaughter.

Unassuming Indian restaurant in strip mall. Wow- we were pleasantly surprised. We almost ate traditional barbq next door. We were sooo glad we instead tried some flavourful, well cooked, perfectly seasoned dishes. The butter roti to dip the incredible sauces. Chicken Tika masala - so delicious. Huge chunks of chicken. Paneer with creamy sauce was our absolute fave. The potatoes and cauliflower were a tasty vegetarian dish. Loved their homemade tamarind chutney and mint raita. Great service as well. We will be back.

Wow! This place is amazing. It was my 1st time there and highly recommend to visit by a family friend. We have ordered catering services for an event and of course I wanted to try the food before hand to ensure it was as good as it was recommended. Boy did it not disappoint! The chicken they serve is so tender and delicious. The portions are good sizes and very flavour and filling. They have a large menu selection, I tried a few vegetarian, non vegetarian and some haaka Chinese items and they were all above my standards. Recently I’ve been to some other Indian restaurants to try and find catering and they have all given me some sort of stomach discomfort the same evening or day after and Gate of India passed that test! Very very happy and so excited to have them for catering. I highly recommend them to try.

As a bonus the Owner was absolutely lovely, super friendly and really has gone above and beyond for us! He has been in the industry himself for over 10 years and you can tell his attention to detail and his compassion for his food and of course the customers!

The two times I have eaten there the food was super flavourful and I love it. My only complaint is thst I am a vegan and have asked both times for my veggie dish for no dairy, paneer or ghee and have gotten some sort of dairy both times. Ghee and paneer the first time and paneer today. I will definitely eat there again but I am disappointed that they ignore the dietary preferences.

This is the most delicious Indian food in Airdrie! The butter chicken has great flavour, the chicken is unbelievably tender. Service was so fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

Restaurant was very clean, with a modern feel. Very prompt service. Our server was very attentive and checked on us several times. Received some complimentary items which was an unexpected surprise. Food came relatively quickly. The food was absolutely delicious, we cleaned our plates. Overall a 10 out of 10. Thank you for the amazing experience, look forward to returning.

Ordered a large spread of food from gate of India. The lamb and beef dishes we had were fantastic the flavors of the sauce was outstanding. The only down side was the goat in the goat vindaloo was tough which could have been just where the cut was from. This didn’t take away from the amazing meal we had and was able to introduce different dishes to the family.
