Worst bar experience I've ever had.
It took over 15 minutes for one drink to arrive.
The manager/owner spent his time avoiding helping guests while his staff struggles to help.
The owner was more interested in making fun of patrons with people outside rather than assist guests who needed help.
Instead of hiring enough staff for the restaurant he chooses to run a skeleton crew and create a stressful situation for staff and guests.
It was embarrassing and appalling.
Claiming that throwing people on the street was trained in selling it right program rather than offering water and a safe ride home (as per the selling it right program)
The owner will abandon you on the street to save face rather than do what his obligation is as a bar owner.
These interactions make you feel unsafe and unable to enjoy a night out without people like the owner of this bar taking advantage of you.
I would HIGHLY advise anyone (especially women) who want a safe environment, avoid this establishment at all costs.
Because your night here will have a higher chance of ending in tragedy than of you visited any other bar available in the region.
Kelly O'Briens has been a significantly safer option for anyone looking to enjoy the new Westminster downtown core.
DO NOT VISIT GEORGIES AT YOUR OWN RISK.
THIS MAN WILL NOT MAKE SURE YOU ARE SAFE. AVOID FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY.

This place, is completely underrated!

Probably one of the cleanest bars in all of New West, with no doubt the best views - world class views!

The staff here excel at customer service providing a great space to enjoy friends, food and drink!

Take the extra few steps, move up and away from the dingy pubs down the hill...

Apparently they've got live music and karaoke... Did I mention the views?

I feel this place is overlooked being on the end of the new west strip. Great view over the river, drinks are always good, the pub food is pub food. The Pico is great and balanced. Vibes a cozy and warm.

Can't go wrong with this place! Delicious veggie burger, upgrading to poutine was only $3, and the views of the river are fantastic! This is our first time here but won't be our last!

This bar gets pretty busy even on a Wednesday. The food was not that good. I know it’s just bar food, but you can definitely find better quality bar food elsewhere. The staff were very friendly and they had trivia night going on, Which was super fun to be apart of ! Just beware the poster for trivia night as it is very misleading.

I arrived for an open mic as it was advertised online and on the sandwich board outside the venue. Much to my surprise when I was called up on stage to perform my songs I was told I needed to have a bass player and drummer accompany me. In which I politely declined as I was performing my own original tunes. I was again told (not asked) that I should have a back line to jam with me. Again, I declined. When I got on stage the sound man appeared to be annoyed with me. I asked how many songs I perform. I was told 2. After I completed my songs I stayed for the food and atmosphere. I also brought two other people with me to enjoy the night. I observed several other artists get up and perform. All of which received 3 songs. I questioned the host about how many songs we get. His response was 3. To which he then realized and told me that next time I should have him and a drummer come and play with me. After paying over $200 in bar tab and food, I went to retrieve my guitar and thanked the sound man for everything. He just nodded at me and said "see ya". Then he followed me to tell me that if I want to go to an "open mic" that I should attend a different venue up the road next time unless I'm willing to have accompanying musicians with me at this one. Now, I have been a professional musician for many years. I've played many large venues and worked with big artists. Never in my life have I ever felt disrespected by anyone in the industry and had my creativity turned away because I didn't agree to having the sound man and host play on stage with me as they proceeded to do for the duration of the evening with all the other artists. In my opinion, musicians like this want nothing more than to take the lime light as much as they can. If this "open mic" night was advertised as "come jam with your tunes and these two guys" then perhaps I would have considered the advice of going down the road to a different venue. The sound in this venue was amazing. The server was amazing, the food was pub fair but decent. The egos and attitudes of the hosts of this event were in my opinion, enough to turn me off and never return. Which is a shame considering every show I've performed with my band in the past ten years has sold out and I am currently on the hunt for venues to perform at when we tour. Sadly, this venue is no longer an option. But apparently the one up the road on Columbia on a Monday is where I'm supposed to be. So, I'll check it out. I'm not offended as I've dealt with this type of thing before. But if you are an aspiring musician and are just getting your feet wet and still nervous to get in front of people. This might not be the best choice.

Hosted my Grandmothers 90th birthday party at Georgie's and it was perfect. Easy for folks with disabilities , no stairs and ramps to get around. Cass and her team were very friendly and attentive. It was a beautiful day and the windows over looking the river made the restaurant bright and welcoming. The food was typical pub food but not terrible 🙂

We were at Georgie’s on a Saturday night about 630, when we entered, there were only two tables occupied in the pub. We played half a game of billiards before we had to track down staff to ask for a drink. We then had to ask for menus. We ordered food, and 15 mins later was told they did not have what I ordered and I had to pick Something else. My husband’s food came out 5 mins later and got cold while he waited for my food to arrive. They cooked the hellOut of my chicken strips. I want to love this place as they have Molson on tap, but the service and food were awful.
