5-Star Review: Hot, Hearty, and Hit the Spot!

I ordered Chinese food on short notice and was blown away by how fast they delivered — and even more impressed by the quality! The meal arrived piping hot, like it just came straight off the wok and into the container. Every bite was a flavor bomb!

The dry pork was perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside while juicy on the inside — just how it should be.

The BBQ pork chow mein was packed with flavor, tossed with tender slices of BBQ pork and just the right amount of onions for a little extra bite. Noodles were neither greasy nor dry — just right.

And the sweet & sour pork? Insanely good. That tangy, sticky sauce clung beautifully to crispy pieces of pork, topped with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for that extra texture.

Generous portions, incredible flavor, and service that came through in a pinch. Definitely one of the best delivery experiences I’ve had — they’ve earned a spot on my speed dial.

I'd heard this place was just as good as golden star (which it's replaced) but was unpleasantly surprised to find out that while the menu is almost identical, the soul and flavour is completely gone from the food.
Beef and Broccoli came with 4 small pieces of beef (unseasoned and tough), and almost more raw onion than Broccoli. And the house fried chow mein had only 2 baby shrimp, and squid, and 2 small pieces of chicken and was overall completely flavourless, soy sauce couldn't even save it. Do not recommend, money wasted here and terribly unsatisfied.

Not even giving all one stars because of my experience. It is seriously lacking in all departments.

Food:
The food is extremely unappealing in both taste and presentation. I ordered the Kung pao chicken which shows two peppers on the website. When I received it, the entire container was filled with peanuts and celery, with *maybe* half a chicken breast, thinly sliced. Sauce was sparce and had little flavor or spice, even marked as mild on the receipt (but you wouldn't think that with 2 🌶 🌶 beside its name. Having little flavor spanned across the Beef Vegetable dish, and the chicken chow mein. The chicken on the chow mein was very pale, obviously microwaved chicken. One of the pieces of chicken had a rubbery, dark burn mark on the side of it... which comes from the microwave. I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls, but even then, the sauce was watery and barely even latched on to my breaded chicken balls.

Service:
When I asked about my Kung Pao chicken the server told me that is what it was. I told her there was barely any chicken in there, and not what I had in mind. She seemed confused that I wanted more chicken and less celery? It was nice of her to accept my request of a different dish. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken balls, which is cheaper than the Kung pao chicken (I don't know how when you get 200% more chicken with chicken balls). I asked for the difference of $1 back, to which she looked at me and said "...you want your dollar back?", seemingly confused that I would want my money back for an item of lesser value. This was my second trip back to the restaurant as well.

Atmosphere:
I mean, I think most Chinese food restaurants that I have been to are typically outdated.

I wouldn't recommend.

This place is horrible. Service took a long time and the food was horrible. It was nothing but dry and bones. The deep fried wontons were nasty and had but a COUPLE MM of meat in it. I will never glr there again cause they made me.sick. spread the word
