Not impressed with their client - customer service -it was my first time to the shop- and I booked the appointment THREE hours before maybe even less for a 7:30 pm appointment - the only appointment available with Anastasia. - so it was a last minute decision. I got to the space and a man had been watching me before me getting out of my car - he watched me while I was sitting in my car waiting for the appointment. He was at the side of the building- smoking just staring at me. I recognized him from The Gathering place. My gut said nope. So I got back in my car I and I watched in my side view mirror and he kept staring - waiting, watching me. My car has a soft top cargo on it and the inside of it was filled with boxes due to a move. It was broken into 3 weeks prior and they stole all my clothes they could see from the back window. I did NOT feel comfortable leaving my car with my dog and whatever else I had left of my belongings- there for an hour or less unsupervised. I was the only other car in the parking lot. The space is on the 2nd or 3rd floor and I’d be in an appointment room with no view of the car. My intuition said no. I tried calling them there was no phone number TO call. No email- was possible. They use VAGARO- one reason I never liked VAGARO. I had to find them on social media and leave a message. They then messaged me stating I would be charged a cancellation fee for cancelling within 24 hours. I literally booked the appointment within 3 hours so 24 hours was Not even an option. :/

As a new client- I probably won’t be a client. If I’m not feeling safe as a last appointment on a Thursday night where a parking lot is empty and I’m being watched by someone peering at me from the side of the building and I booked a last appointment of the day within 3 hours- —and you want to charge me a cancellation fee because it wasn’t 24 hours- cancellation?

That’s just not cool. I’ll go elsewhere. Never got to try them but intuitively- feeling it’s not aligning with me.

Everyone there is so friendly, soon I arrived I was greeted and they asked if I wanted my jacket hung up and ask if I would like anything to drink. While my nail tech was getting ready for our appointment they sat me in the waiting/lounge area and it was super cute. Vintage with 60s 70s 80s vibes. My nail tech was super nice and did an amazing job. Definitely would recommend going there. Such a wonderful experience, will be going there again for sure! Summer was my nail Tech, I know a few people that go there and they all love the place!!

Terrible service. One of the lash technicians was VERY rude to me. I can now apply my own eyelashes and it is wayyyyy cheaper and I don't have to sit for an hour. Save your money and do them yourselves.

I can't recommend if you need services at the time and within the timeframe that they're booked. Clear time issues here with multiple members of staff including the owner. Giving 3 stars because the end result of said services was as expected and treatment was friendly, but unfortunately I wouldn't return.
Edit: reduced to 2 stars. In less than 24 hours one of the nails are chipping away. Totally unacceptable for $105+TX.

I can’t say enough good things about Goldie. The vibe was so good. I loved my experience . The atmosphere is warm, chill, and inclusive.
Caitlin’s service was exceptional- professional, friendly, and accommodating. The result of my lash lift and tint and wax procedures were exactly what I was looking for. I was a first timer so she helped me feel at ease. The decor is chic and the whole salon is bright, cheerful, and clean. Will definitely recommend and return . Thanks to the team at Goldie in St. John’s.
