This is my favourite gym in PG. I love it. The manager is friendly and helpful. The staff are usually busy, but they are quick to help when you need them. The equipment is well spaced out, and there is a lot to choose from. Had to cancel before and it was very straightforward. Signing back up was a breeze too. Just took a few minutes to get forms filled out and we were back to working out in no time. Highly recommend this gym to anyone wanting to work out. I don't have the typical gym bod but I feel completely comfortable in this gym. I feel like I belong and the other gym goers have made me feel more than welcome to be there. If you need a new gym, try this one out!

Avoid this place at all costs. Despite advertising a "no-commitment" policy, they require a 60-day notice to cancel. During that period, you’re still obligated to pay—even if you no longer wish to continue for any reason. Failure to do so may lead to collections and negatively impact your credit. This misleading “no-commitment” label is deceptive, and they continue withdrawing funds from your account regardless. Stay away from this trap!

Amazing gym, amazing staff, and is very very clean. However, if you are thinking of going to the gym make sure there aren't a whole lot of older people present especially if you are brown, after coming here for a couple of years I have seen a lot of racism specifically from older gentlemen. They would not move from the machines and would also give you attitude if you ask them as politely as you can about how long they are going to take sadly it is one of the trends I have seen just with some and only older males as they continue to ignore you and take HOURS at a machine. I couldn't even count how many times I had to leave the gym with an incomplete workout because I get tired of waiting other than that one of the best gyms in Prince George.

Young gal at front counter, pay my $25 drop in. I say ok $25 a bit steep all good. She say well that’s the same as you’d spend at McDonald’s? Wtf who makes a MacDonalds reference at a gym? I so no not me, then she say well, inflation then. Absolutey no clue how to communicate value or even begin to justify drop in price. Very poorly trained. What about saying, sir have you been here before? Can I show you around, we have some great equipment, (which they do) what are you planing to work out maybe I can point you in the right direction, I’m confident you will quickly realize our facility is very well equipped and realize what your drop in fees offer you. Overall workout was good, and equipment I used was great.

Drop in 11/21/24 6:30pm nobody at front counter waited over 10min then called the land line. Cardio day and Came to ride stationary bike. While waiting I saw 1x person riding 1 of six bikes. Young man came to counter I Paid my $25 drop in, walked over to the other 5x bikes, I tested each bike to find out they were All BROKEN. Screens not working, cranks broken, resistance broken. Every bike was unmarked and out of order. I went to the attendant and said I came to ride upright bikes and they are all broken, I can’t fulfill my program I’d like a refund. He looked at me and said ya man I know they’re broken, there’s lots of other equipment you can use that. I said no I came to ride an upright bike and they are unusable, I’d like a refund. He looks at me and says ya no man sorry….i said that’s kinda crazy I was here 10min and all your bikes are broken. Ya man sorry im just the night shift guy, no refunds….okie dokie. Decided to do a leg workout. They had what appeared to be a newer (black) hack squat machine, was fantastic! Made my way over to the yellow leg press. Machine is completely unusable. Another “member” came up to me and said ya I tried that machine the other day, something wrong with it. Honestly the gym has lots of great equipment, and I also think it’s very well laid out. Why are there only 6 people in here at peak time Could it be the poor communication from poorly trained attendants, could it be poor maintenance? Golds gym PG, you can do better.

I love this gym, it's my favourite one to go to in PG. It's nice and big with a lot of equipment and the staff is so friendly and helpful. I have been coming for a year so far.

I just have 2 complaints about this gym:

1) A lot of the elliptical machines have been down this past year and so it is limited as to how many can use them because of this.

2) There is also lot of dirt, dust and hair in the weight lifting section and it needs to be swept and mopped more over there. I hate to leave that in my review for a local business but I notice it every time I do my weights or have to sit in that area it kind of grosses me out.

My favorite place to work out! I love the space. It feels huge, but also it doesn't take you forever to walk from one side to the other. Workouts feel efficient. And there is a great variety of equipment dumbbells, etc.

After trying out many different gyms here locally I decided to join Gold's. Not only are the staff here easily the most friendly, they also keep this gym absolutely spotless. I have never had an issue with the cleanliness of the change rooms or any of the equipment. They have tons of cardio machines so you don't have to wait to use the machine you want. They also have great tanning beds and boast a wonderful steam room. The cost of a membership is extremely competitive and the membership offers discounts on clothing, supplements as well as perks like their in-house spa. Overall a fantastic place to work-out and get into the best shape of your life.
