The clearly less experienced gentleman claimed he had a salesperson degree , and that other employees there may not. Pushed classes before customer needs doesn't work well for alot of people. The class he showed me had low attendance. Also got interrupted by self entitled lady, when in a meeting for indoc, who he immediately left the meeting to help with tanning. She knew there were other employees who could help, the guys busy in a meeting how bout go find someone available to help you. Didn't give a very detailed tour of the facility, missing aspects that I was specifically looking for. Didn't give information about lockers or sauna. Didn't get my name correct on the contract, or address. He was friendly, but sure dropped the ball multiple times during our interaction. Facility was nice and clean, eventually got information about lockers after a second phone call and avoided the sauna. They have 5 squat racks and 2 Smith machines. Sweet gym if your serious about staying fit. Staff is lacking at copying word for word off the information card presented to make up a contract.I have read other reviews about the staff issues being a common complaint.
Same for gym hours, claiming to be a 24 hour gym but only 3 days a week. For the price you pay and appealing 24 hour access, management needs to address the hours open. Facility is a 5 star, but staff knocks it down to a solid 2.5

I've struggled with the "gym culture" lifestyle my whole life when I was skinny, when I was fit, when doctors would call me "obese" by my BMI when I was a young mother of two kids and healing from two c-sections, and have tried memberships at several different franchise gyms since graduating high school. I've tried hiring a personal trainer with a home gym studio for a few months until I had financial problems where I had to cut down my spending so I had to drop the hundreds of dollars I was spending on paying her to only see her for an hour a week.

I love track, I am a big sports fan, bicycling long distances, I'm great at sprinting and can probably do a triathlon when I'm in peak condition. I have played tennis competitively, gymnastics, ballroom dance lessons, was on a basketball team, was on a wrestling team, and have excellent hand-eye coordination - I'm working on my perfect swing at golf, and I can hike at my own pace, climb trees, you name it, I'll try.
I like swimming and have discovered I can freedive and swim super far underwater once I muster up the courage in a very cold, windy lake. I did get a pretty bad concussion in high school from a skiing accident, and that didn't stop me from trying again.

I need a 24h gym access membership to work on my strength, stamina, form, posture, stretching, and stress-busting at my own pace.

In the fall of 2020 I had a trial membership at GoodLife Prince George when things were a little different. I paid the fee for the trial, went in on my own once, and never walked in again until this week in April 2025. I decided to give GoodLife another chance and try for a membership again now that I'm ready to work on all of that on my own.

Every time I've walked into GoodLife Prince George I get a bad headache and huge anxiety.

The guy I booked for a tour/intake was pretty young, well tailored and clean, clearly enjoys his own personal fitness recreation and is knowledgeable on the machines.

I was about 20 minutes early for my intake/tour/membership application appointment and I was okay with waiting until then, but then he was 7 minutes late to the front.

I had to explain to him that I had already been having an extremely tough day and that I've got some physical health impairments like auto-immune flare ups that I don't feel like delving into but he had a paper application that he had to get me to fill out and he posed the questions just as he was taught for him to fill it out.

There were several moments I had to get him to repeat what he said because of how loud and distracting it was in the background, and that even with my perfect hearing I have an auitory processing disorder and he didn't adapt his register, volume, or tonality to accommodate me.

He kept pushing for booking classes and offered gym equipment guide lessons with him as if he's the only one that works there.

When he pointed to the self tanning room he said the usage of it was self explanatory and I had to correct him and say I've never touched or used a tanning bed or booth in my life.

He filled in all my personal info and when the application process got to the payment method, he asked for a void cheque or the three banking info spots you need for a direct withdrawal payment.

I had means of paying right then and there for my membership and start that day but I had to put the whole thing on hold because the approximate $70 owed wouldn't have gone through in that moment.

I support GoodLife as a whole but this guy wouldn't take a hint that he wasn't a good match to be the right staff member for this instance. I expressed my frustrations with how he dealt with me in a peaceful manner as I was leaving.

If I do return to get a membership here, it would be great if this undisclosed person isn't in my presence because he posed his questions regarding my fitness goals about my outward appearance towards my weight, and asked what my "favourite muscle group was" and dietary goals when I repeatedly told him I'm not worried about weight loss. I am strong, healthy, and have endurance.

I’ve been a member of this gym for a couple of years now, and it’s been a great experience. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, which makes workouts much more enjoyable. The equipment is in great condition, and the overall atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable and hygienic place to train!

I been going to this gym since it opened and love the way you are greeted when coming in and out always with a smile. Goodlife has plenty of machines even if it’s busy. If there’s issues the manager is on top of it asap. The biggest draw for me to stay at this gym was the cleanness, I'm there to focus completely on my routine. Therefore, I don't want to spend time disrupting my flow, by having to pick up stray towels, or wiping off dirty machines, or walking into a smelly change room. Fortunately, I workout in the cleanest gym in town and staff who care.

I am usually a great advocate for GoodLife fitness. But I went in today Sunday March 23 2025 in the late morning, and after my workout I went to have a shower and almost all the soaps were empty. Also the shower stalls had mud on the walls in some of them and the soaps dispensers were so dirty as well. Please do better GoodLife!! I love this gym so much! But if it continues on being disgusting I may leave.

Called them about 5 minutes ago, guy didn't seem to care at all about helping answer my questions. This location would be convenient for me, but I'll drive further to go to another gym, where they give a crap.
