Je fais rarement des commentaires négatifs mais je dois vous dire, après vérification qu'il y a quelque chose qui cloche a cet endroit. J'ai demandé au propriétaire si je pouvais faire un feu dans la cours arrière, cependant il m'a dit qu'il avait un ""fire ban"" pour le 2 septembre. Je lui ai donc demandé si je pouvais utiliser le BBQ pour cuire ma viande car c'est dans les accessoires a utiliser. Mais il m'a dit que non puisqu'il y avait une interdiction de faire des feux.... Cependant après vérification, il n'y avait pas d'interdiction a cette période et en plus, même s'il y a une interdiction, on a le droit d'utiliser le BBQ ( voir photo ) car c'est pas un feux a ciel ouvert. Peut être que le propriétaire ne voulait pas qu'on brûle tout son bois... Bref c'est pas un mauvais endroit mais pensez-y avant de choisir cet endroit. Il y a une drôle d'ambiance.

Beautiful place, excellent communication from the hosts, well-kept/clean rooms, nice shared room to relax with friends, all in a nice quiet location. If you aren’t good with heat, you might not want to book during the heat of the summer, as there didn’t appear to be a/c. But fall/winter/spring, it’s great!

Be aware this is not a bed and breakfast, there is no breakfast and if you want the sauna that is not included in the room charge either. Sleep was only ok, wouldn’t recommend.

Welcomed kindly. Me and my family was looking for a place for a night and i feel lucky to find this cut place. Rooms are clean and comfortable, place is peaceful we woke up and spend time around backyard, we see that they have some chicken at the back and they offered us free fresh eggs, totally lovely thank you for the kindness

What a beautiful place to rest,relax &/or unwind!! The perfect distance to get away from city life, yet close enough to everything you may need. Quiet & peaceful self serve bnb a true gem hiding in Bearspaw! The hosts are helpful & friendly and go out of their way to ensure your comfortable & enjoying your stay- family friendly & spacious! A outdoor fire pit, BBQ, laundry & kitchen- there's also a steam sauna in the large guest bathroom! Thank you so much to you & your family for everything & i hope to be back & see you both again soon!! True gem hiding in the outskirts of calgary! This is a must stay & the place to see!!

I sincerely think that the glowing reviews written were done by persons who visited another establishment. Recollections may vary.
Alberta was great but I didnt want another person to get catfished by this 'hotel'.

So....Here are the facts:
1. The bathroom and toliet are shared. This was not seen on the ad from booking.com.
2. The above was not cleaned daily (don't ask how I know).
3. During my stay it was minus 35 C and had I not brought my extension cords, I would not have been able to plug in my car.
4. The 'second' toilet, no guest or staff should be using there. There is a gap in the plumbing and you can see what you flushed going down.
5. Added to that, the door does not lock.
6. The front door required you to shoulder it to close so I gather some guests could not be bothered because every morning I found the front door open.
7. The water temperature fluctuated whilst showering.
8. The room temperature was generally very cold. I wore my ski pants in the common room.
9. The towels and sheets did not smell as if it just came out of the washer but my skin did not itch so ....
10. Both toliet seats were loose.
11. No shoes allowed inside but we weren't given flipflops for the cold titled areas.
12. The lights in the toilet keep flashing like in a haunted house.
13. The sink in the second toilet was not connected to the line and water pooled.
14. Zero evidence of cleaning during our stay so forget about COVID-19 sanitization.
15. There is a security deposit for the room key.

Reviews are very subjective so I stuck to the facts. I could say much more but who has time to read an essay of complaints.

Verdict....even for budget accomodation this was lacking. Eyes wide open on this one folks.

I wish there was a negative score.
