I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Lethbridge and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience. While I understand that the hotel is similar to other locations, I was particularly disappointed with the room I was assigned.

When I booked online, the main picture for the "1 King Bed, Non-Smoking" room featured a bathtub, and the description stated that there was a bathtub in the room. Given that it was a very cold weekend, I was looking forward to enjoying a warm bath. However, the room I received only had a standard shower.

When I called the reception from my room to address the issue, they informed me that I hadn't booked the room with the bathtub. I was initially frustrated but accepted it, thinking I might have made a mistake. After checking my booking and confirming the picture on the website, I was sure I had booked the room with a bathtub.

I went to the lobby to discuss it further. The receptionist reiterated that I hadn’t booked that room. After I showed her my reservation, she began to look deeper into it and then informed me that the system indicated I had booked a different room. This only added to my frustration.

I asked if I could upgrade and pay the difference since my goal was to have that warm bath. She then mentioned that the room with the bathtub was out of service and had been for some time. This left me confused as to why I wasn’t informed of this earlier. I couldn’t tell if the room was really out of service or if they had given my room away to someone else.

To add to my frustration, I still see the same picture of the room with a bathtub on the website, giving the impression that it is available for booking. This lack of communication and clarity made my stay less enjoyable.

I had a fantastic stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Lethbridge! From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The check-in process was seamless, and I was impressed with how clean and modern the lobby was.

Can not recommend this hotel as trying for the last week to book a room. The code for the event does not work and no one answers the phone when calling with multiple attempts. Being a Hilton member with wonderful experiences at other hotels this has been a very negative experience.

Front desk staff is completely incompetent. We stayed here twice in 3 weeks for hockey and both times the check in and out process was a disaster. Then to top it off the front desk called the room at 12:40am , waking everyone up, to ask if we had two rooms reserved (which we didn’t) because their system showed we had two. Keep in mind this was 8 hours after check in. No manager on duty as well . Won’t be staying here again .

Beautiful bed and pillows. It's loud and busy outside but quite in the room. I would recommend and will return for sure. Staff are great 👍

Hampton Inn is our go to hotel when traveling and because we use it so often we are diamond members. When we arrived at 4:30PM to check in we were able to get keys and get into our room on time. There were people in the lobby area who were unhappy because their rooms were not ready yet (and check in is posted at 3pm). We received our water and snack and were thanked by the desk for our loyalty. We got to the room to quickly shower before meeting friends and realized that the room may have been very recently completed - it was clean but the bathroom floor was still wet and the bar soap by the sink had not bern replaced. Minor oversights as it appeared the hotel was short on cleaning staff that day and we were grateful that we got right into a room so we could shower and make our 5:00 appointment, always appreciate the hot coffee and other amenities such as the breakfast (which we did not have here this trip because we met friends outside the hotel). Always comfortable beds and sleep well.
