Haven Kitchen + Bar is a beautiful space—modern, stylish, and perfect for a night out. The ambiance really stands out, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit.
The drinks were just okay—not bad, but nothing memorable. The food is definitely on the pricier side, though the portion sizes are generous. Taste-wise, it was fine but lacked excitement. It leans heavily into what you'd call “white food”—safe, mild flavors that don’t take many risks.
Overall, a great-looking spot with decent service, but the food and drinks don’t quite live up to the atmosphere or price point.

If you want some fresh food with a good chef, look no further. This place seems to have everything fresh and cooked to perfection. Food and presentation are definitely on par. Drinks as well are well made, so the bartender must know what they are doing.

When it comes to service, they are just okay. I mean they are quick to clean up and take your plates, but they don’t stop by much otherwise. We were never even asked how our food was. So maybe a bit of work to do on that side.

As for atmosphere, it was good for a young and club like vibe. I wouldn’t come here if you want a quiet and chill meal as you do have to raise your voice quite a bit to just chat to one another.

Overall a great place for a bite as long as you don’t mind it being a little louder than your average restaurant or bar.

We booked here because we love trying out new restaurants with Dine Out Vancouver. Just before we left, we read the reviews and they were very mixed, but we went with a positive attitude, hoping for the best. When we arrived, we were immediately seated upstairs, but the chair had limited back support and when I mentioned it, we were moved to much better chairs downstairs. We had fabulous service from Brianne. The food was great and came in a timely fashion. I particularly enjoyed the salmon and my son really enjoyed the chicken The drinks were fabulous and we arrived at the end of happy hour, so got them for a happy hour price. We enjoyed the experience. We would definitely return.

Hands down the best Salmon & mashed potatoes I’ve ever had! Amazing food and even better drinks. Loved the chocolate cake! Our server was very friendly and attentive. The hosts at the front, on the other hand, should be a bit more welcoming I think.

We came here drawn by the beautifully designed interior — seriously, it’s stunning. Too bad the service didn’t get the same makeover. It’s almost like the decor and the staff were from two completely different restaurants. Aesthetic: high-end bistro. Service: DMV on a bad day.

I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and we shared the dill pickle fried chicken wings. Honestly, the food was solid — I’d happily give it a 4 out of 5 if the service hadn’t dragged the whole experience down like an anchor tied to a sinking ship.

Our server looked like she was being forced to relive all her worst life choices at once. Not a smile, not a refill, not even a basic acknowledgment that we existed beyond taking our order. My friend literally had to share my glass of water. I mean… are we in a trendy restaurant or lost in some survivalist jungle challenge?

The food we ordered was incredibly good. The service provided by our server was warm and thoughtful. She took care of everything sometimes even before asking. This space has a cool vibe and amazing decos.

I have been to Haven countless times over the years. The food and service is consistently good! SO many great menu options! The Happy Hour menu is great! The drinks are fun & really good! The Parking is limited!
