The couple running this BNB I think are well intentioned. I have stayed at many BNB's and I look for certain qualities. This BnB lacked in so many of those things we all look for. The breakfast was good, to very good. The accommodation was lacking. We had the large room in the basement. It was private. with a narrow staircase to get down including hitting my head a few times. It may be good for 5ft 8, thin person at best. Asked to remove your shoes and there was a cubby hole in the wall that you had to fight for real estate from the owners shoes. 3 shelves for them and one small 18 inch wide shelf for 3 rooms which on our night equaled 6 pairs of shoes, most were jammed in, -WET! Downstairs was a flashback to the 60's which may have been ok had it been tidy. You had to maneuver your bags in and around furniture and "junk" to get to your room. Along with the owners desk , cluttered as it was. The write up describing the view, etc, etc, is just that - a write up, very disappointing.. Aside from the breakfast, there was NOT a lot of effort put into making the stay welcoming. We were welcomed by bugs in the bathroom. A Spider - with web and some foreign beetle, I guess that's normal for a damp old basement. A table in our room was ready to fall over, 3 legged , leaning against the wall in order to stand. Particle board top with a cloth over it to cover this shoddy piece. I re-iterate. the food was good from a modern kitchen. Nothng modern about the guest rooms including an old tube TV in the corner. We had the superior room . ||You are paying good money. This was not an expensive stay but was way too much for what is offered. I felt ripped off. I would stay here again if I were desperate. So many nice BnB's that we stayed at in Nflnd and elsewhere and this one gives the rest a bad reputation. The hosts were polite, not overly friendly, nice, but they need to actually visit a few BnB's and see what is being offered for similar pricing.

This is rated as a bed and breakfast, but we were instructed to just be at home; if I want a midnight snack, help myself.||One B and B we were at had a lock on everything and we were shown where we could go. Heavenly Hill told us just to make ourselves at home and home is what it felt like.||Paul and his wife are very outgoing and hospitable and our stay was very relaxing.||I would definitely stay here again.
