Sue is a friendly and informative hostess. And she whips up a tasty hot breakfast! Our room was comfortable #6 with a nice sitting area. We had an excellent dinner at Sue's advice at the Freight House. The Pocket Rocket at the Baddeck Theatre was a scream! All 5 local players kept us well entertained for two hours! The Alexander Bell Museum was amazing and we had a wonderful journey back in time at the Highland Village at Iona.

We stayed in the Guest Room. We arrived on a particularly hot day in July. The room had a west facing window and was very hot, but the air conditioner did the trick and had the room cooled down by evening. We slept very well. For normal weather, there were windows on either side of the room that would allow a cross-breeze.There was also a ceiling fan. The room was clean and pleasant. The curtains did a good job of keeping the light out.||||The breakfast was great. There was a good selection of all sorts of foods at the buffet, plus on some days hot breakfast options were prepared to order. The scones were splendid! The breakfast room is located in a separate building. To get there we had to walk on an uncovered deck the length of our building. There was a choice of stairs or a ramp down from the deck. You then had to cross the driveway to get to the other building. ||||The inn was an easy 5 minute walk to the main street in town, though the return is a modest uphill.||||Sue was quite friendly and a pleasure to talk to.

The High Street Inn was the perfect home base for our recent visit to Baddeck. Sue greeted us warmly upon our arrival. She was very helpful with area information and pleasant conversation. Her breakfasts were fresh and delicious, with plenty of variety from which to choose. Located at the top of a small hill, it is just a short 4 minute walk from the Inn to the heart of town, close to the action yet away from any of the noise. Our room was perfect for what we needed. If our travels take us back to Baddeck, We would definitely look to stay here again.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside & we kind of grumbled carrying our luggage up a flight of outdoor steps however once we opened the door to our unit we were very pleased. A large room, comfortable king size bed, Clean, bright. No street noise.||||The temperature of the evening was very pleasing, we wondered if it had been warm, how much we would have liked not having air conditioning. There was a ceiling fan & a floor fan which were not necessary to use. ||||Breakfast was very good, reception & service friendly. Would definitely return if could have th same room.

Thank you to Sue, the manager, for giving us a choice of rooms. We ended up in a room where we could really spread out. Only problem was the heat isn't individually controlled in this side building so Sue had to deal with the diverse temperature preferences of the guests..... a bit hot for us. The breakfasts were hearty and so tasty with fresh fruit, eggs, home baked scones, and preserves.

The room was nicely decorated with a personal touch. Very clean room. Sue was very helpful and even entertained our 4 year old, gave him some toys to play with. He would definitely remember her next time if we go there. Breakfast was really good. She was late from an appointment and offered us to make something fresh but we refused and there were enough food on the table. It definitely felt like home. If we are going back definitely we are going to stay here. There was no AC unit but that place I don’t think you need an AC year around. Sue gave some tips for the Cabot Trail. We would have come back and stayed there but there was no room for the next night.
