Great spot for a coffee or tea, both are organic. It's a cute place with plenty of inside seating and a decent sized outdoor section. The lattes are great as is the gluten free and vegan carrot cake. They also serve wine, beer, and cocktails. It has a very chilled vibe. Great laid back spot to talk or study!

Higher Ground Cafe is a great spot for coffee lovers! The coffee is consistently excellent, and there’s plenty of seating, whether you’re looking to relax, catch up with friends, or get some work done. Warm atmosphere and good vibes all around. Definitely a go-to cafe!

Honestly I come for the atmosphere and just a coffee here and there. It's so cute and beautiful with paintings around the walls. It's a short walk from the train station and the university of Calgary. They do have a few spaces with outlets if you need to charge your computer or laptop. I recommend the fun drinks and cookies for study sessions for sure!

I haven't tried all of the food yet, but I would say it is good but not amazing. I have heard very good things about the mac and cheese though.

I went here as part of our sampling of hot chocolate, for the 2025 YYC hot chocolate festival. It seemed a nice place at first glance, and not much of a wait time.

After ordering, and declining the tip (since I was ordering takeout), I waited for the order to be complete. Somehow, people who ordered after me got their drinks (also hot chocolates) while I was told that they're working on mine. Once I got it, it didn't even look much like their advertised photo, or like the hot chocolates they had made earlier. This barely had any toppings.

It seems very unprofessional to serve such subpar food, just because I declined to tip. I've already paid for my food, and I would expect to get what I paid for, and not have it delayed in favor of other customers.

The only reason I'm not giving this 1 star is because the hot chocolate was decent.

This place is absolutely amazing! I came by myself to get a cappuccino and while i was waiting, the staff was incredibly nice. We had a conversation about Van Gogh and they complimented my necklace and earrings. If I got their names, I would give them the biggest shout out. The coffee is spectacular and you can tell they put their effort into it. Absolutely recommend this place, 10/10. You guys should expand to the south so I can come more often 😔🙏

Visited on Thu afternoon for quick snack and coffee. It is small but nice atmosphere!

I’m a fan of Kensington location, this one is much smaller and not the same vibe, but it is located in a lot more quiet neighborhood and I like the atmosphere here.

I have ice americano and breakfast bagle. Americano was good but not very smooth, it tasted like either the beans were over roasted or old espresso was not properly cleaned based on my experience as barista.

Breakfast bagle was also nice but mostly tomato, not very savory or cheesy.

Staff were friendly and polite, atmosphere was quiet and good place for work, study, coffee date. They have dog friendly patio and board games for you to have fun!
