We enjoyed our stay in this simple home. The main floor bedroom was all we needed for one night, and even though the full-size bed was a little small and a little squeaky and bouncy for us, we slept just fine. The room was also small, and has only a simple hook latch on the door (no keys provided to us at all), but the owner was home when we went out and when we got back from dinner. There was no reason in this quaint little town to feel at all concerned about anything, anyway. There was a small en-suite bathroom (no door) with plenty of colorful, if a little worn, towels. The bathroom was fully stocked with everything we might have needed - soap, shampoo, etc. There was old-fashioned wallpaper and various vintage furnishings throughout the room - nothing fancy, but very quaint. Breakfast was delicious, and as she kept refilling our coffee cups, the owner told us the very interesting story of Anna Swan, the giantess who lived in the Tatamagouche area as a child. We would stay here again if we were in the area. It was not the kind of place for someone who needs those one-size-fits-all or a pampering type of lodging, but it was just fine for us, and reasonably priced besides, especially since it included a full hot breakfast (not the kind you get in the cattle-car type hotel breakfast rooms with the artificial scrambled eggs and spongey sweet rolls). We chose to pay with cash because it made it simpler for the owner, and we respected that.

This is a century home, that is in need of some TLC. The bed linen was thin and the pillows were not fluffy at all. We had a small two piece ensuite but our friends had a shared bath. The owner was friendly and very nice and provided an excellent breakfast. It is centrally located to the amenities in town. No water front. When driving through town on our way out, I observed that there were other B&B's that looked more inviting and perhaps on my next visit I would consider one of them over this one.

This is located on the main street in Tatamagouche and very close to the brewery, shops and restaurants. I stayed in the Rose Room which was overly quaint and filled with knick-knacks and baby pink everything. The bathroom was shared. Clean but showing it's age. Breakfast was below average and the coffee was poor. For the price I would have expected just a little nicer upkeep and food. I would try to find a different spot next time I visited.

I always consider value in my reviews, and for the price, this place is very good. Friendly proprietor, nice breakfast, ok bed, ok shower (though down the hall), great location if Tata is where you long to be. Free parking, no resort fee! Close to commerce and a great bike path along the bay. Dated yes, but charming in its own way.

The facility is shabby. There are no external locks on the room doors when you are out, and a hook and eye for security while you sleep. There was no soap in the room. The innkeeper was away and we needed to use cash because the substitute didn't know how to make a credit card transaction. The room was very small yet packed with random pieces of furniture. There was one rickety dining chair to sit on. The only redeeming point was breakfast.

This B and B is right off the main street in Tatamagouche; close to everything. Rates were very good and the rooms were spotless. Very good breakfast too! The hosts were amazing and very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
