I bought a 15ft above ground pool 2 years ago from Hootons. They were very professional when they installed the above ground pool. I went in to Hootons recently to ask about how to install a solar pool heater. I wish I could remember the young gentleman's name behind the service counter. He was very knowledgeable. He even had a mock installation set and showed me how to connect everything. I went home and installed everything as he had shown me with no issues at all! Very friendly , knowledgeable and professional staff.

We purchased a hot tub from them at the fair and they are super friendly and helpful they took the time to sit down and make sure we got all the features and accessories we wanted and answered all our questions. was super excited to get it delivered I got the phone call 3 ish weeks later they set up my delivery day and time. the crew showed up and where very friendly. they took the time to show me the features and how to get up and going as well as answer any questions that I had. later that day I had the tub filled up and found a leak (manufacturer caused the leak in a hose )I called them and they came right out to get it fixed on the same day, they got it back up and running and we have been enjoying it ever since about a week later I stoped in the store and had the water tested and we got some great advice and chemicals we will highly be recommending hooton pools and spas to anyone looking to buy a hot tub.

We bought our Coast Curve Spa 10 years ago and have been extremely pleased with both the spa and the service from Hooton's. We have moved the spa 3 times and it still works & looks great. It is very low maintenance, we have replaced the cover, pillows, filter & needed a pump part once and that has been it! They have always looked after us well and we would recommend them!

I am deeply disappointed by the unprofessional behavior and discriminatory treatment I received from Hooton Pools. Despite confirming my pool opening for May 13, they inexplicably denied me service at the last minute on Friday May 11th afternoon, jeopardizing my plans without any valid explanation.

As a resident of Brantford, I expected better from a local business. What's more concerning is the apparent discrimination, as my neighbor, who is white, received service without any issue just a week prior. This blatant discrepancy in treatment is unacceptable and raises serious questions about the company's integrity and commitment to fair service.

I urge others to reconsider using Hooton Pools, as their lack of reliability and apparent discriminatory practices tarnish their reputation as a trustworthy brand in our community. Discrimination has no place in Brantford or anywhere else, and it's essential that we hold businesses accountable for their actions.

We closed our pool two weeks before and did not have a good experience. One of the guys was smoking in my backyard, I told him not to and then he started showing attitude, not answering my questions etc. They put the cover over the pool and didn't secure it well enough I guess, as it flew back to the pool the very next week and I had to secure it tightly again. Good thing it happened now while weather is still good and not in middle of winter. I would look into other options from next time.

One of the worst experiences I have EVER received.

Very disorganized pool opening/closing procedures.

They schedule for earlier in the week or later in the week. Fine. Then you’re given a day and it’s either earlier of later. Fine. I get it’s busy and staffing situation is not always ideal.

We had our pool open on a Friday in May. Half the job was done as the pool needed to be filled. When the technicians left, my wife went to check on things and noticed a pipe was disconnected, as well, the debris from the pool cover was all over the ground (which they are supposed to bag). I called and the gentleman I spoke to was friendly and had the tech come back (I was at work). They were also supposed to bring cones for the solar cover and measure for a new solar cover.

Came back and got the debris and told my wife that he needed a part for the pipe and would be back Monday. Monday came and no call. I called to follow up, and they said could be a couple days as they are busy. Asked about the cones and the measuring and they said the tech has the info and they weren’t sure. This went on a couple more times and after a week I was angry, told the service person on the phone that I need this done or I have to go somewhere else. Response: “let me know so I can take you off the list”.

I went down there to speak face-to-face and they explained that they’re busy, gave me some free shock. Keep in mind it’s been over a week and the water is sitting stagnant. Can’t run the pump yet. I was told a couple more days.

No phone call again. This went on a couple more times. Finally my wife got a voicemail that said they can’t connect the pipe because it was wrong and would cost us quite a bit of money or they can walk us through it. This is two weeks later.

Absolutely terrible customer service. We never received the cones and they never measured the pool for the solar cover (atleast not that we were told). I fixed it myself for 5 bucks after some research.

They still want to charge 325 for opening the pool with no discount for the terrible service.

Within one month of us not paying, they sent it to collections. Are you kidding me? They reached out to us one time after the fiasco in June wanting payment with no effort to try to resolve or retain us as customers. WOW! Just wow.

The service at pioneer pools is exceptional and night and day compared to Hootons.
