this place is a dive bar but its a dive bar with character. the staff are pretty nice, the pool is great, the beer is reasonably priced. its a good place to go with friends their wing night is good, i highly reccomend this place.

Not for me. I guess I am more into the pubs on Portland Street. There is something about pubs with the VLT machines that I just can't get into. It was a convenient spot for a quick drink, but its just better to take the bus downtown, instead. Both times I visited, it was empty. We sat out on the patio both times, but the patio is tiny, and seems thrown together. I thought at first it was only for the staff, but it appears not to be.

Good deal on beers for happy hour $5, makes paying cash easy. 6.25 after that, bar tender was attentive and regulatory went around check if anyone needed another. Highly recommend karaoke on Thursday night. Many regulars make for an entertaining night even to sit and listen.

Best wings I've ever had are served on Thursdays and they also have a very good fish and chip deal on Wednesdays.
The bar is large and clean, though not very accessible by transit if you're looking for a night out.

Edited: After receiving a quick explanation from the owner on google reviews I wanted to bring the rating back up so as not to bring the overall rating down. Good to know they are actively checking, would have loved to try the place out while we were in town, but might not get the chance again.

There wasn’t a soul in the place when we walked in shortly before 8pm. We were excited to go for Thursday wing night and was pretty disappointed to hear that the kitchen was closed. Thursday is advertised as 12$ wings from 5pm to close.
The barkeeper apologized but didn’t seem overly friendly.

Burger and fries were great! .. Atmosphere was lacking.

It really seems like more of a bar then anything. When u walk in u are walking right into a room with bar and slot machines. And just outside the doors was lots of smoke from those who were smoking so I didn't like walking through that to get to the seating area.

The music was very loud for all of 2 people in the main eating area and 5 people at the slot machines in the other room... Hard to hear each other talking. The staff were nice and friendly which was a highlight.

The food was basic food for a bar and grill. Chicken fingers, burgers, fries and such stuff like that. It wasn't to exciting,the menu but we really did enjoy the burger and fries.

We went here because our hotel was across the street and the traffic was horrible at rush hour because it was so close to bridge to halifax so that's why we didn't travel far because we were already starved.
