Human Bean Coffee & Tea at Cityplace Mall is hands down my go-to coffee spot in Winnipeg! Every morning, I stop by for my favorite drink—the Headbanger, and let me tell you, it does exactly what the name suggests! It’s the perfect jolt of energy to get me going for the day. Strong, smooth, and just what I need to wake up.

What makes this place even better is the amazing staff. They are always super friendly and welcoming, and they remember my drink order every single day! There’s something special about walking in and having them greet me like a regular—it makes my mornings so much better.

If you’re looking for a place with great coffee, a cozy atmosphere, and staff that truly cares about their customers, Human Bean is the place to be. Highly recommend checking them out!

I recently visited Human Bean, a local coffee house located in the heart of Cityplace in Winnipeg. The mother-daughter duo who run this local coffee shop offers a diverse range of salads with different kinds of dressings, refreshing smoothies, and an impressive selection of teas. The staff was helpful in assisting me with my order, and I was very happy with their service. I ordered a salad, a cheesecake, and a strawberry banana smoothie, all of which were delicious. In addition to its healthy offerings, Human Bean actively promotes acceptance and creates a safe space for everyone. They support the LGBTQ community and are friendly with everyone who walks through their doors. The combination of their friendly staff, delicious food, and inclusive atmosphere make Human Bean a true coffee place in the heart of Winnipeg. I totally recommend this family-owned coffee shop for its healthy food options, delicious smoothies, and outstanding customer service.

Quinoa veggie bowl for 5.50 CAD? Very affordable!

I can really taste the strawberry & the green tea in my strawberry green latte.

I would come here more frequently since this cafe is strategically located inside the mall at the heart of downtown so bus commute back & forth to work is much more accessible & easier. Prices for healthy stuffs are much cheaper.

This is a real gem in Cityplace. I will say, the prices are a little bit high (on par with local shops, though!), but the quality and service are 100% better than what you'll get at Tim's or McDonald's. I work in the building and get coffee here most days. I purchased lunch here once and it was excellent. I often purchase the baking, as well... Imperial Cookies are perfection, muffins are tasty, and the raspberry cheesecake brownie is to die for. The seating area is lovely for coffee breaks.

The Human Bean is finally re-opened in a new location at city place. It's an open concept modern design. They have variety of foods and bakery so it's nice to grab snack and lunch. My coworkers like headbanger which is regular coffee with espresso shots to wake you up. The coffee price is a bit more than Marcello's and Greenish, my go to coffee places around the area, yet the taste of it isn't as great in my opinion. I'd come here occasionally to grab just coffee for that reasons.

The employees are racist, been here for 20 minutes, she acted so different between white people and indigenous people, shaking her head at indigenous people when they bought something and then of course all giggles and smiles for white people.
