This was a great experience! None of us had fired guns before. All equipment and targets were provided and Gareth explained the rules and safety before we started and schooled us to help improve our aim while reloading. We had so much fun! I highly recommend the experience!!

My wife and I were driving to Halifax but wanted to stop and get coffee. We pulled off in Turro and saw the sign for indoor gun range. I've shot a riffle once and my wife has never shot a gun before. They have a super helpful staff that showed us how to shoot. We got a couple 🎯 after a few tries. We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again.

In my opinion, initially the Hunt Indoor Gun Range appeared to be an upstanding local business that cared about its clients. My brother was a long time firearms enthusiast who purchased many Firearms from Gord and Gareth and was a long time member of said gun club. He sung their praises on being family oriented and locally focused. At the point where my brother was tragically injured, upon his request, he wanted to ensure a fair resale of the firearms he had purchased and collected over the years from this business. In our first encounter on my brother‘s behalf, my husband and I felt encouraged by what appeared to be a sincere response to my brother‘s accident and felt as though we were in good hands. Unfortunately, that was the last time we felt their sincerity. After notifying this father and son duo about my brother’s untimely death, Gareth indicated he would come to the house and review the firearms that could be legally re-sold back the business, and offered a clear direction on unused ammo and any other pieces that, under the law, could not be resold but rather held at the gun club. Once again, it was felt as though this was the attention to detail that this business stood behind its name and one of which my late brother felt would have allowed him the sense of pride he felt as a marksman.… Not so…
Gareth came to the house, after we were finally able to open one safe, he was able to assess what could be resold and what couldn’t. Not having any previous gun experience, I asked him to provide me with a quote on the resale items, including ammunition, gun locks that weren’t even out of the packaging and so forth. That’s where things, in my opinion, became very shady. My brother had owned a brand new rifle that still had the sales tag on it and lock in place. I witnessed Gareth rip off the sale tag immediately that stated the item was worth.$695.00. I picked the tag up off the floor where it landed to take a second look. I knew my brother well enough to know, as an experienced marksman, he would never have shot any firearm with the price tag still on… That’s what led me to believe it was brand new and had never been fired. Much to my chagrin, the quote that came back on that particular rifle was less than half of its initial value. Based on what was discussed with my husband and I the week prior to my brother’s death, we felt comfortable in understanding that any unopened ammunition could be valued for what it appeared for on the shelf while any opened ammunition would be sold at a discount so that people could re-buy the unused portion of the partially used package. Fair enough-However… I needed to remind Gordon that this was the deal laid out by Gareth and he indicated he didn’t know anything about it and that there was no room for negotiation on partially used boxes of ammo….hmmm.
It was then that I requested clarity on firearms quote as I was confused. He wrote back indicating that it seemed to me that I felt he was ‘ripping me off’ and he thought I should go pick up the guns and take them elsewhere. Interesting….I don’t have a PAL, transporting them without is illegal and I only requested clarity.
As it stands, Gord provided a cheque based on his initial quote. Once I returned home to Western Canada, I did some research to find out that unfortunately, the amount received was significantly lower than the value…even if it may have been shot once-I still don’t believe there were any shots taken with the price tag still on however it’s his word against my now deceased brothers and a sister who tried her best to follow her brother’s wishes…
The learning in all this Buyer beware and when you think you can trust people who appeared to care outwardly …sometimes dollars signs can be deceiving.

This was an awesome experience for me and my friends. I went with 4 other friends and the RSO was constantly making sure we were comfortable and was very encouraging. We were nervous, since it was our first time but we became comfortable and enjoyed it. Loved it and would 10/10 recommend.

The first time my husband and I went last Summer we had an amazing time. Our instructor was great and we had fun trying rifles for the first time—that day was a 5 star experience.
Because of how much fun we had the first time, we went again this summer and took my parents with us. This time was a let down. The instructor was still very good, but our rifles were off. The sight was not calibrated right, so even when shooting at the target and using the sight, we were missing by far. The instructor told us that the rifles must be set to a specific person and just told us to aim way higher than the sight suggested. This made our experience difficult and definitely not as fun as our first time. Considering how expensive it was we just expected to have the same quality as our first visit. I will add that during this visit my husband chose to shoot a hand gun instead of the rifles and he enjoyed that with no issues.
