Extremely Disappointing Experience – Needs to Be Addressed

I recently visited Java Coffee for the first time after starting work in the neighborhood. I was looking forward to grabbing a coffee and brunch, but unfortunately, my experience was incredibly upsetting.

The staff member who assisted me (an Asian woman who said she was the manager) was shockingly rude and unprofessional. I noticed my sandwich was missing tomatoes and politely asked for it to be remade. Not only did she refuse initially, but she also began swearing and mumbling under her breath when I asked again. She claimed she used “bigger bread” as compensation (which I never requested), and then told me the tomatoes were rotten, which was deeply concerning. She then offered to still put them in, which made no sense and felt careless and unhygienic.

When I asked for her name to follow up on the issue, she refused to give it and told me it was a “secret.” She even claimed to be the manager and said I could “go write a review” – showing zero accountability for her behavior. As I was leaving, she swore at me again, which crossed every line of professionalism.

To make matters worse, the two staff members continued to speak in their own language in front of me, which made me feel uncomfortable and targeted. This entire encounter felt not only disrespectful but borderline discriminatory.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had, and it left me feeling upset and unwelcome. If this is how management treats customers, I truly worry for others who may walk in expecting basic courtesy.

I sincerely hope the owners or higher management take this seriously. I’m considering escalating this further if necessary.

One of the best coffee spots in town. The coffee is delicious and the sandwich was larger than I thought it was going to be which is always a good thing. The staff truly make the experience unforgettable. Friendly, welcoming, and always going the extra mile they make you feel right at home. Highly recommend for both and the amazing service.

I had a wonderful experience at the establishment. The coffee was exceptionally fresh and complemented their almond milk quite well. Their pastries were also quite excellent. I had the pleasure of trying the scone and their pumpkin seed muffin, which were both delightful. The service was prompt and courteous, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

A nice and cozy community coffee shop located in the corner of the building aside of street. My friend and I share Java supreme avocado wrap, really delicious, the size is enough for two of us. Environment is clean and cozy. There is public parking place cross the street, this is paid parking lots. If you don’t mind to walk couple minutes, you can park at cross shopping area, 2 hours free parking. Suitable for friends gathering here.

Had a wonderful time here. The turkey sandwich was excellently served. They were very quick, friendly and they made sure my time here was as cozy as possible. They have a lot of pastries that I wanna try for next time. Definitely coming back again soon.

First time driving to white-rock and came across this coffee shop. Didn’t think too much of it at first but found out they make every sandwich from scratch and it’s worth the wait. Coffee is great and affordable in this economy. The barista was kind enough to fill the dog bowl for my dog and delivered the food to us. Love the wall paper as well! Will be visiting when I come to White-rock again 🙂‍↕️

very nice place to chill. the Turkey sandwich is my favorite, super tasty. the home made muffin is worth to try, and latte is the best ever. the stuff is very friendly. Five star place to spend the afternoon

Had a doctor appointment near by and wanted to check out this place. Asked for real Macchiato but they didn’t know how to make it even though it’s a coffeeshop and they should know these coffee specialties. Got my Macchiato finally and it was super bitter like if they squeezed a lemon inside (which means burned as hell). This happens when the barista burns the coffee. Also the amount I got for $4.50 paid was very little compared to standard macchiato size (it should be 6-8 oz but got like 3-4 oz). Nice staff they tried to make my drink even if they should know what is this drink but I don’t recommended this place for coffee specialties like Macchiato, Cortado, etc.
