I went to Joe Black Coffee Bar for a small dinner and had a really nice experience. I started with a Mango Matcha to drink, which was super refreshing and for food, I ordered the Turkey Club sandwich, and I especially liked that it came with cooked bacon. For dessert, I had the Apple Jaz, and I really enjoyed it. After that, I also tried the ice cream, which was a surprise. I didn’t even know they sold ice cream there. The flavor I had was strawberry butterscotch chocolate, and honestly, it was something different in a good way. The place is located right next to Assiniboine Park, which makes it perfect for grabbing a bite and then going for a walk to relax. The vibe inside is really chill, with comfy sofas where you can hang out with a friendly and fast service. Great spot next to the park, and I’d definitely go back.

Absolutely Refreshing!
I tried the mango smoothie and it was incredible! Bursting with rich, tropical mango flavor, perfectly creamy, and not too sweet—just the right balance. You can tell it’s made with real mangoes, and the texture was so smooth and refreshing. It’s like summer in a cup. Highly recommend if you’re craving something fruity, cool, and satisfying!!

My Go-To Coffee Haven!
Absolutely, hands down, my favorite local coffee house! Seriously, it's the best spot to kick off your day. You're always greeted with a friendly face and, oh my goodness, their Spanish horns are out-of-this-world good! Like, seriously, if you haven't tried one, you're missing out big time.
What I really adore is how they keep things fresh with new monthly features. You get that super cozy, familiar local coffee house vibe, but there's always something new and exciting to try. It's the perfect balance – enough to make you feel adventurous without messing with your tried-and-true routine.
And hey, if coffee isn't always your jam, and you're more into that Red Bull or sweet caffeine kick, you absolutely, positively have to try the "Dirty Sprite." Trust me on this one – it's a game-changer! 👌❤️

Great coffee house!
My young friend did his first vocal/guitar gig in this intimate setting. Great experience and exposure for this up and coming musician.
The serving staff are friendly and helpful. Good selection of hot and cold beverages. Light menu items are also available and desserts.
This was my first visit but I will visiting again to try the other menu items.

I went for the first time in years. I had no idea they changed owners. Our Matcha Lattes were made to order and great. However I ordered soup and was told it was gluten free. When I got it, I saw that it had barley in it. My daughter enjoyed it for me and said it was great.
Just for future reference, anything with wheat, barley and some yeast extracts have gluten in them and can make celiacs very sick.
However I don’t agree with the bad reviews. I think some grace needs to be shown as it is new owners and under new ownership. We will be back to try it again.

Love this place! They have the best iced toffee coffee!!! The owner and staff are always friendly and I really enjoy all the food and events they have.

As I work nearby, I've been coming here very often for almost three years. The gals who worked here before were fast, efficient and friendly. This is a prime location, and thus should be a pretty reliable winner of a spot if the food and service is good.

Since the reopening, the pastries are all hidden away, and have been for months. If the cooler is broken, fix it? People buy pastries once they've seen them. I've ordered a simple, regular milk latte on two occasions. Both times nigh undrinkable for different reasons, and for $6, a latte should be good. Service is messy, confused, and unreliable.

I won't be returning. The details about why all the previous employees left are damning and show patterns of profound disrespect.
