We had the absolute pleasure of indulging in the decadent pastries from Karat Chocolate on Elle Street in Kelowna — and every bite was pure perfection.

We tried the Black Forest pastry and the Raspberry Cheesecake, and both were nothing short of extraordinary. The Black Forest pastry was a masterpiece, with six meticulously crafted layers that each brought their own texture and flavor — rich chocolate, velvety cream, cherry compote, almond layer, all crowned with cherries and delicate gold leaf. It was stunning to look at and even more stunning to taste. Every layer felt like a surprise, perfectly balanced and expertly executed.

The Raspberry Cheesecake was equally good. It truly melted in the mouth, with a luscious raspberry cream, smooth cheesecake, and the most divine chocolate layer hidden between — all on a buttery crumb base. Topped with fresh raspberries and an edible flower, it was not only delicious but a complete visual treat.

The quality of ingredients and attention to detail really shine through in everything Karat Chocolate creates. These are not just desserts — they’re works of art. Paired with warm, friendly customer service, our experience was exceptional from start to finish.

We’re already counting down the days until we can go back and try more. A must-visit for pastry lovers!

I eat a croissants whenever I see a good one. Today’s at Karat rates in the top ever. The other snacks and goodies look beyond fantastic and we will be back tomorrow. Staff were bright, cheerful and a delight to be served by. Keep it up because our experience was first class.

Karat is an absolute gem in downtown Kelowna! This French patisserie has the most delicious filled croissants and cakes and their flavoured chocolate bon bons make a great gift. So reasonably priced for the quality that you receive. Also the best matcha latte in town! Highly recommend the iced strawberry matcha when they have it.

Amazing place..

Whole visiting Kelowna someone mentioned to us that they have best chocolate and yes they do.

We went there pretty much at closing time and it was still busy. The girl working there was super friendly and she helped us pick pack 12 bon bon.

They were super delicious and amazing. We will visit again soon for sure.

Best pastries! I'm from France and I like to look for pastries that remind me of my country. You can immediately see that the chef has a background. Pastries are very good with different flavours and the presentation is neat 👌. It's not cheap but you have to pay for this quality. Absolutely need to try if you are in Kelowna.

Great little cafe and pastry shop in downtown Kelowna. They make exquisite pastries (savoury and sweet), chocolates and beverages. Everything is hand crafted and the eye for detail is outstanding. They make unique things for each holiday or season. The current Easter selection is very beautiful. The chocolate advent calendars at Christmas time are my favourite. The chocolate bars are great for gift giving. The coffee is delicious and so smooth. The service is excellent. Highly recommend checking out this local business in downtown Kelowna.
