We have been eating here for years but haven’t been in a while. We were very disappointed in the food we had. It was no where near the quality it used to be. It used to be so hot you had to wait a minute to eat it; this time it was like warm. Also the food looked nothing like the same food we’ve always eaten. It had very little flavour and looked kind of gross

Been ordering for years. Since the new owners took over the meals have no flavour. Ordered what I always do and it arrived with so much juice it’s like a soup. Lemon chicken was literally floating and beef was grey. When I called to complain, she told me to order less sauce next time. I explained the meal is ruined and she said that’s how they make them. When I told her I have never had it like this, she told me I wasn’t telling the truth. NOT THE SAME as the old owners at all. Disgusting food and service. The reply below speaks to the level of customer service. The food shown is in the bottom of the container, to suggest I have no taste is unprofessional and inappropriate. Just click on the recent reviews and it’s evident this place is unacceptable to order from. Tons of reviews about how quality has plummeted and this response is simply evidence of the unprofessionalism… over a $16 item. Wow.

King Town. We drove 30 minutes to visit our former favourite Chinese Restaurant. We went on Mother’s Day. Not very busy. Only 1 waitress to take care of 5 tables plus takeout orders. First thing we noticed was a new menu. My wife looked for her normal choice but no longer on the menu. She chose another selection after asking about the lunch menu on the blackboard and was told because it was Mother’s Day they were not available. We also asked about a half order that we normally additional order and we were told not available as well. My wife was not satisfied at the end. I had the Won Ton Soup and my selection which was available. They were good as normal. We waited over 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Perhaps a new cook.
After all said and done it might be awhile before we visit again. Time to find a different option.

This place USED to be the best Chinese food around but unfortunately the last 3 times it has been terrible I keep giving them another chance hoping it was a fluke but 3 consistent times of it being absolutely terrible i had to come change my 5* review.

The best food. Living in Halifax we didn´t hesitate to eat there whenever we could, or buy to eat at home.
Always fresh. Truly widely recommended.
Be careful with the sizes of the soup. The first time we thought that the 1/2 bowl size would not be enough and we ordered 1 full bowl for each... of course we had to order takeout containers LOL...
We miss all of you King Town and we send a warm greeting.
We hope to visit NS one day to enjoy your food again.

As a visitor from Scotland this was my first visit to King Town. Excellent food tasty and beautifully cooked. Crispy beef, Lemon Chicken, Vegetable Chow mein,Fried Rice and Spring Rolls were all first class as was service. One thing which caused consternation and became quite funny was that they had no prawn crackers on the menu
I found it so strange that they didn't even seem to know what they were, so i showed them a recent pic from Scotland
They said Oh!!them. No we still dont have any which sent us all into fits of laughter.
A great night of chinese dining.

What happened?!? We used to love going here when we lived in Sackville, so picked some takeout up tonight for the first time in a couple of years. No almonds in my almond guy ding. Chicken balls tasted like rubber. Forgot the ribs and plum sauce. Chicken fried rice and egg rolls tasted like they’d been kept in the fridge for a couple days and reheated. Super disappointed, won’t be back
