My girlfriend and I stumbled on this place while looking for a romantic getaway. Let me tell you, it’s hard to book the princess Sylvia room on a weekend. We had to book one month in advance. So if you are looking to go there during summer, book one month in advance.||||Darrell was very friendly and made us feel welcome. He is a very humble and humorous person. He showed us around the house, the tunnel, as well as told us a little bit of the house history. ||||The Princess Sylvia room was huge and worth every penny. The room consists of 1 big bed, 1 dining table, private bathroom, TV, patio (with a gargoyle watching over us). ||||The breakfast was huge and kept us full for the whole day. ||||We look forward in visiting this castle-like house next summer.

We have stayed at this B and B twice now and really enjoyed it both times. It's cozy and somewhat old fashioned which was what we'd expect from a B and B. They have lovely touches such as leaving coffee on, an old fashioned popcorn maker that makes wonderful popcorn and lots of movies and games to choose from. We splurged on the Princess Sylvia suite and used almost all of the rooms. It has a little living room, dining room, big bedroom and spacious bathroom plus a second small bedroom area if you need it (we didn't). We loved being able to watch a movie, have a nice long soak in the huge tub, enjoy breakfast in our room and had an amazing sleep both times. I've been to noisy B and Bs in the past but this one makes it easy to get a great nights sleep. I just wish we were coming in summer so we could enjoy the adorable little balcony. Breakfast is very well made and their presentation and serving it in the room is so appreciated. If saves small talk with strangers at the breakfast table when you're half asleep. They even brought us up Christmas settings and a candle last time. We adore the natural coziness of this place and will definitely return. If you go on a Saturday be sure to check out bingo at the legion a few blocks down. We won last time! Plus, they have dollar beer.

I am a person who notices things-I do not mean that I make a mental note if you have dust bunnies under your couch or that you forgot to wish me a happy birthday. But, I can spot a heart shaped stone on a beach walk and detect the smell of lemon furniture polish on fine wood. I love the detail in things and the little touches in hospitality.||||This weekend, my husband and I ventured on a short road trip to the west of the province and my senses were bombarded with beautiful details. Our first stop was in Neepawa for The Lily Festival where I was able to walk amongst fields of them and enjoy a couple of favourite varieties up close. I also visited the home of Margaret Laurence (one of my favourite authors) and toured the famous and beautiful town cemetery trying to imagine a Stone Angel there.||||Later that day, we continued on to Minnedosa and discovered that it has its own beach on a little lake which really reminded us of the rural lakes in Minnesota my husband spent his childhood summers. Our lodging for the night was Tilson Place, a hundred year old historic home with turrets and gargoyles, wrap around porches porches and underground tunnels. My husband had booked the Princess Sylvia Suite with its own soaker tub, turret dining space, cozy TV spot, fireplace and balcony. Our stay was comfy and delightful. One of the reasons why I enjoyed my time to such an extent was taking in the details of the home.||||Of course I cannot forget to mention the second B of the B&B experience. Breakfast with the other intriguing guests around the big old dining room table was comprised of coffee, juice, fruit salad,banana bread, hash browns and two stratas-one with Greek ingredients and the other ham and cheese. I could not decide between them so had a small piece of both! We spent in a perfect weekend in a perfect place. My mom and I stayed for one night at the Tilson Place B&B. We stayed in the Princess Sylvia suite. It was large and comfortable. The single bed is in a space all to its own, so it was perfect for myself and my mom, who may or may not snore :0/ ||The breakfast was delicious, sausages, eggs, pancakes, coffee, tea, muffins, yogurt, orange juice, cereal, etc… Really good. ||The house itself is beautiful and extremely clean. I would highly recommend that anyone passing through Minnedosa consider this B&B.

We are so glad we didn't miss this! We almost booked a different B&B. Darrell Graham is a fantastic host, he makes you feel at home the minute you come through the door. We enjoyed coffee and conversation on the huge front porch every morning before going into the dining room for a delicious, fresh, home cooked breakfast. We were sorry to have to come home to reality, but we will definitely be back! Thanks so much for a lovely time, Darrell!

We've stayed here a few times. It is a lovely old building with just enough modern to spoil. The hosts quickly feel like old friends. We love the princess Sylvia suite with the small living area to watch television (they even have movies), the small table in the turret, extra, small room & huge tub. If you have any reason to visit Minnedosa or are just driving through this is the place to stay.

Ten-After-Ten

On every trip to Minnedosa I inevitably end up staying here. Pat and Darrell Graham are fantastic hosts. Breakfast is fresh prepared and if you need special or unique food items they are fully accommodating. The rooms are quaint, quiet, clean. WIFI is strong and fast. The large room has a soaker tub. Please give this B & B a try.

Kruk Castle is a gem!! Old world charm and elegance in this well appointed heritage property. The beds and bedding were befitting a castle. Quiet quarters that wrap right around you. The food preparation was top notch and I really enjoyed learning about the history of the estate. What a great place for a honeymoon or to stay while skiing the powder snow on the local slopes! Woke up rested and ready for my adventures.
