The food was amazing and it’s so conveniently located next to our hotel. Place was clean and atmosphere is nice. Staff is polite. 3 stars for that!

We visited morning of Tuesday, August 19th, a little after 9 am. Only 2 people working. We waited in line then when it was our turn the lady stepped out to make people’s orders. Then we were “first” in line for about 15 min and then waited maybe another 10 for the food to be ready.

Our family was serviced just before us so the wait for everyone to start eating together was not good, and trying to find clean seats next to them was a fail.

The 2 people working there are very nice, though they were so busy and looking a bit stressed. I just feel bad that whoever takes care of this place is leaving it understaffed. Waiting over half hour for a bagel is not worth the wait despite everything else being good, it definitely hurts the experience.

Again, the staff was great, the complaint goes towards the ones responsible for the place.

The family wanted to try something other than fast food on this leg of our BC road trip, and we happened upon this place at a fuel stopover in Revelstoke. Quickly giving it a Google, it seemed like a quaint place to try.

Unfortunately we regretted it. Not that that food was bad, it was good for what it was, however, the price to satisfaction ratio isn't good.

First impressions:
First off parking is very limited, with a few spots in a shallow lot with relatively dicey access if coming from the opposing side of the road. It is free however, and there is some street parking to be had.

Once we parked and entered, we were greeted by a line that came right to the door, with written instructions to take amenu and order at any of the tills. And since the main till was backed up, we decided to try the bakery/coffee side; which was in the process of closing (at 3:30pm?). We were told to go back into the main line, with only a single point to order and pay, and one staff member managing the ordering, payments and also fetching orders from the kitchen. Needless to say it was a very, very slow process.

In terms of seating, there are a few tables a bar height area, and larger tables reserved only for parties of 4 or more. And the vibe falls in the range of a chill cabin in the mountains. However as nice as the decor was, small things like the dish collection area on the patron facing side of the coffee/drinks bar, makes for a relatively unsightly experience.

The facilities are relatively clean, but are located at the center of the building, which means that in order to use them, one has to either walk around the forming line, or cut through waiting patrons. And when the line extends to the door, it makes for inconvenient paths.

The food:
Once one manages to place an order and pay, we sit and wait until a name is called, and upon observation, one either gets the food delivered to eh table, or one has to walk up to receive it. It didn't seem consistent while we were there. The food came wrapped in paper bags, and napkins and such are self served, as well as water.

We ordered a club sandwich, a spinach and cheese pie and a few West Coast bagel sandwiches. I also gave one of their lattes a try. The sandwich did feature fresh ingredients, the salmon in the bagels was tasty and the veg were crisp. However for the price, the food was just fine. As was the latte.

Maybe we caught them when they were understaffed, or had an off day, but it was a lot of time queueing for some pricey sandwiches and drinks that were only quite ordinary. I found myself frustrated by this experience, to the point that I didn't even remember to take photos for this review.

Coffee was good but 30 minutes is an unreasonably long time to wait for an americano. My friends were also given the wrong size (8 oz instead of 16 oz) and I heard another customer saying the same thing happened to them.

Disappointed....
Great food but they need to work on their service. Watched my wife eat her order while they lost mine three times. Disappointing to see the least. Only after I threatened to cancel my order did my food turn up and got it to go. No offer of compensation is really what drove me to give a very poor review not that I would have necessarily taken it but it would have been nice to ask especially since I gave them an 18% tip when I ordered not knowing that they would screw up my order. The tip is for service as much as the food. Disappointing but I don't think judging by other reviews that I'll see any messages from the owners regarding it.

We visited on Aug 10, 2025 around 8:30am.

Staff member (person taking orders) was outright rude.

On top of that, we waited 30 minutes for an americano, and 45 mins for a mixed drink.

Someone else in our group got the wrong size on their order.

Unless you like having the wrong order, waiting forever, and the staff being rude to you. Save yourself the time and don't come here.

Overpriced food, all seems not fresh or homemade, like they pre bought Costco croissants and added toppings, and unfortunately no baguettes. The gelato was okay and way too expensive for the taste, wouldn’t recommend unless you’re crazy rich I guess, but if you have that money you should buy something better.

The service was outstanding, the cashier Josh was so kind and selfless. He asked about our day and gave us top tips on where to travel to. 10/10 we would visit again for the service alone.
