Our stay at the Lakeview home was absolutely fabulous. This was our first time staying in Nanaimo and we really picked a winner. The house was large enough to accommodate us as a group of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids). There was plenty of space for all to sleep and relax. There was a recreation room downstairs which was great for the kids to watch TV and play while the adults got to enjoy the upstairs.

The house itself is in a great location less than 10 minutes from the Departure Bay ferry terminal and in close proximity to all your shopping needs. It comes fully stocked with everything you could need and more. Karin really made us feel welcome and even provided us with great ideas and outings to do around town.

The best place in the house is of course the deck that overlooks Long Lake and the dock. Family breakfasts and dinners were so much more memorable because of the view. The walk down to the private dock from the lake is only a few meters and its a few minutes’ walk to the public sandy beach for swimming. The children thoroughly enjoyed using the watercraft's available and didn’t want to leave the water at all.

I stayed at a Lakeview Homes Suite during my move and scouting trip to Nanaimo and the suite offered everything I needed! Karin, the owner, was absolutely fantastic and went out of her way to make my stay the best! The home was very clean with a great open space, and had everything including an outdoor area, BBQ and year-round hummingbirds! It's a perfect location, central to everything, and a very short walk to a beautiful Lake and beach. I even got to know the neighbors and would certainly recommend any of the Lakeview Homes! ...whether you're looking for short-term interim or emergency stay, a vacation spot, or scouting the Nanaimo area!

Had the most amazing stay! Such a great mid-summer vacation, a beautiful place to recharge, relax and watch the birds by the lake. The house was spotless and contained all of the amenities you could ever need for your stay and more! We loved the boats available as an extra perk and our morning kayak was a highlight! Our family of 11 had a great long weekend staying at the Lakeview home on Long Lake. Our group of 4 couples and 3 singles had a ton of space, and it was good to find something that would accommodate all of us. We ate in most dinners - the kitchen has everything you need. Karin and Kristine were both friendly, helpful and accommodating. There are TONS of stairs, but the main level bedroom worked for the only one in our group with a sore foot who would struggle with the steps. A great place for a getaway.

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at the Garden Paradise for a family reunion. The home is absolutely beautiful and was extremely comfortable and spacious for our party of 12, and hosting dinners for extended family of 19 people! The home is stocked with a variety of appliances, dishes, kitchen staples, linens, beach towels, games, and the pool/tennis table was a huge hit! Karen goes above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need for a wonderful vacation. We were especially appreciative of the extra effort she made to allow our use of their water craft. ||I’d highly recommend staying at any of her properties, you will not be disappointed!!

I have stayed at 2 of the beautiful homes and would highly recommend them, and all of Karin’s rental properties. They come fully equipped and the furnishings and decor are top notch. Very clean and spacious. Everything for a wonderful relaxing vacation have been thought of. The location is central to many island attractions. Karin goes above and beyond for all her guests. I will definitely be returning!!

Upon arrival for a weekend get away we were greeted by an awesome couple Karin and Scott and of course the house mascot Gizmo.
We were offered Fresh home baked blueberry scones and rhubarb muffins. After a long drive and ferry ride we were excited to get out on the lake to some water sports paddle boarding, water skiing and surfing were all the order of the afternoon.
The accommodations were second to none.... very clean rooms, comfortable beds and nice decor.
If you are ever visiting Nanaimo look up Lakeview Homes for a getaway stay or a work stay awesome. Thanks again for the hospitality and will see you again very soon.
