Dans une région touristique mais cependant quelque peu reculée de l`Ontario où les villages n`abondent pas, ce Motel extrêmement propre et bien tenu peut être une étape utile dans un périple ontarien. Niché dans un bois près d`une route très peu passante, ce Motel a un certain charme qui cependant se paie au prix très fort, l`addition dépassant très largement la valeur réelle de l`étape. Excellent petit déjeuner fait maison non inclus dans l`addition et là aussi extrêmement coûteux. Accueil globalement peu chaleureux avec un refus total de parler le moindre mot de francais

My son and I got stranded in Haliburton Village with a broken axle on our vehicle during the Canada Day holiday. Locals recommended the Lakeview Motel to us. They had vacancies, so we booked in for one night in the main building, and one night in their unique geodesic dome. Both were clean and well appointed. The geodesic dome was a FANTASTIC experience, and well worth the price for a night. We were fortunate and had the dome on a clear night. It’s a better experience when the skies are clear, but your hotelier - Harsha - can’t control the weather. Speaking of your hotelier, she was fabulous. You can’t ask for a more polite or helpful person to assist you in your stay there. For the main inn, room rates are higher than what I expect to pay for a similar room in a city. However, we were visiting a smaller market during summer high season. So, my comment about price is not a complaint, but something of which to be aware and reflect on the market and season in which you book. It was a good value for the price we paid.

My Mother and i went up this week to the Lakeview motel for the fourth consecutive summer. We love it up there. The owner Haisha is so kind helpful and accommodating she does everything with a beautiful smile. The staff are extremely helpful especially Jag who helped us any time we needed help. The rooms are spotless and very well decorated. We had a barbecue and a hot tub right outside our room. The grounds are very well maintained. The salt water pool is awesome and so warm and clean. We have already booked our vacation at Lakeview for next year! Looking forward it!

Everything about this stay was just what we were looking for. We had spent the day on motorcycles, we were dirty, tired and hungry. The proprietress wasn't superficially engaging; she was the real deal. A lovely person who genuinely enjoyed doing what she does for her business and her guests. Normally I just want an anonymous experience, but she was so nice to talk to, she was accommodating, she made recommendations that were useful… She was easily half of what made it so great.

And the other half was the room, itself. It was clean (I mean *actually* clean), it was current, and best of all, it was silent and the bed was wonderfully comfortable.

The Lakeview was a welcome respite. It had all the accommodations we were looking for and more. It was evident that Management cared about its buildings, its guests and their experiences. My one regret is that I didn't also order the Indian Breakfast to take with me on my bike.

My husband and I decided to try the Dome; we had heard about it and seen some impressive pictures, so we thought we would treat ourselves to 1 night. The welcome and hospitality provided by Harsha was out of this world. Her charcuterie board is certainly an award winning one, worth booking the dome for !! The deck was uber clean, and the inside of the dome was spotless. You had all the amenities you needed, slippers, robes, towels for the hot tub, coffee pods, teas, ice making machine, and many more... this dome is so self-contained, you could stay there for a long period of time.... Well, if only we could! At night stargazing was the highlight of our stay!|All in all Lakeview Motel never disappoints! Whether it is one of their other traditional rooms or the Dome, you can expect cleanliness, tidiness, and top notch service, both from Harsha and from Jag. IF and WHEN in Haliburton, we highly recommend this gem of a place: Lakeview Motel! You guys rock! Thank you for your awesome hospitality and service. We shall be back!

My husband and I showed up without a reservation. Harsha was so accommodating and sympathetic to our situation. She went out of her way to help us. She made an unfortunate situation into the best thing that could have happened. We stayed in the dome for our first night, it was beautiful and the atmosphere was a delight. The second night we stayed in another room that was also very comfortable and clean. We will definitely be making this a yearly visit.

My husband and I stayed at Lakeview July7th-9th. We can not say enough good things about our experience. From booking over the phone to checking out Harsha was simply amazing. So very attentive to everything you could possibly need. I wish there were more like her in the world.
The Motel itself is awesome ,private, clean and well cared for. You have everything you need right here . Pool ,BBQ"s and awesome hiking trial right there. Its is also close to any amenties you might need or sights you wish to see.
We did choose to stay in the Dome as a holiday treat to celebrate 30 year Anniversary. Now this Dome is outstanding. I can,t even explain truly a amazing experience and so thought out. Private with the largest deck ever LOL BBQ, Sauna, Lounge and table. We had deer both mornings with our coffee. Not one but 7. So many pics. We are hikers and there is a trail right behind. Great for walking your dog as well. We ordered breakfast for one morning which Harsha cooked herself it was awesome. Jag her uncle is a sweetheart always smiling and a wave.
I thought about not posting as then everyone will know and it will be hard to book. But I couldn,t people need to know the good ones. We have been burnt so many times so expectations are just are never high.
Lakeview is a wonderful place to stay for what ever brings you to the area.
