This place offers something different than all the other rec centres. There's a sports gym, dance/yoga/karate studio, two art studios, meeting rooms, preschool, community living room, community kitchen, summer camps, Capilano Community Services, Library, and Red Cross Loans program. Outdoor play area, picnic grass, fountain, splash pad for the summer, and amazing local walking trails along the Capilano River. And it all comes with FREE underground parking. There are about eight free electric car charging stations too. What's amazing is that no one seems to know this place exists! It is North Vancouver's hidden Rec Center gem. Here's hoping everyone gets to know it better because this place is worth exploring!

In all fairness, I am biased. I am one of the visual arts instructors. In the arts there is a team of dedicated talented artists offering so many fantastic programs. Off the top of my head here's some of them: art for 2-5 year olds both with parent participation and on their own, school age watercolour, acrylic, mixed-media, art camps, superhero drawing, cartooning, paper mache, adult oil painting, acrylic watercolour art journaling, drawing, printmaking, and art studio blocks for more advanced artists. There tends to be spaces available in most programs; so bring a friend and enjoy exploring visual arts together!

First time visit for a babysitting course, super clean and new. It's hidden in the community, but I can tell it must be convenient for the area.

Great new recreation facility. Wish there was a fitness centre but they have a variety of fitness classes for all ages. The sports gym is very nice. Some neat architectural features like a tear drop light. Customer service is always friendly and helpful!

Kept on being harassed by workers for playing music (ON THIER OWN SPEAKERS) it felt discriminatory and unwelcoming.

I would not recommend this gym to anyone, very unfriendly

The staff seem lovely, and the facility is bright and colorful, but I do want to note a complaint about the status of the elevator.

It’s filthy, it smells like wet dogs and rust. It looks like someone has been cleaning it with an old oily dirty rag. The buttons are sticky, the whole thing is gross.

The cleaning staff needs some real training!

Fantastic brand new community center at the foot of Capilano Road. Especially great for little kids. They have a small little library and a great variety of programming. Really needed in this area and so glad this center is finally open!

I love this library, its classes, and the atmosphere here. This is one of the best places to study.
