My wife and I stayed at Little Wolf Resort in late August, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The resort is beautifully situated along the Skeena River, offering peaceful scenery and a relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a clean and comfortable log cabin that had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.||We prepaid for breakfast and dinner, and the meals were excellent. The food was fresh, with plenty of local seafood options. We especially enjoyed the smoked salmon at breakfast each morning (which was smoked on the property). The hosts helped tailor the meals to our preferences, and even packed extra food for us to take on our day trips, which was a nice touch.||The family that runs the resort (Wolfgang, Gabrielle, and their son Philip) made our stay very enjoyable. They were welcoming, friendly, and offered plenty of helpful tips about activities in the area. Even when we had early starts or late returns, they went out of their way to accommodate us. We also met several returning guests, who seemed to be just as happy with their experiences over the years.||There are plenty of activities in the area. We visited the Nisga’a Lava Beds and went on a bear-viewing tour with Northern BC Jet Boat Tours, where we saw bears, seals, whales, and bald eagles. We also had the chance to see salmon spawning in local creeks and rivers. Though we didn’t come for fishing, we noticed the rivers were full of salmon, which is a big draw for other visitors.||Terrace is less touristy than places like Banff or Glacier National Park, which we appreciated. If you’re looking for a quieter destination with a good mix of relaxation and adventure, Little Wolf Resort is a great choice. We highly recommend it and wish we had more time to explore the 150 acres of land on which the log cabin (or castle) is situated.

The stunning beauty of this lodge is beyond words. Constructed with personally chosen red and yellow cedar to fulfil their dream of owning a fishing and wilderness adventure destination resort. You can see the pride and feel the love that was put into this resort.||The von der Burg family welcomed us as the successful winner of a local fundraiser event put on by the Fort St James Community Foundation. We arrived as guests and departed as friends. They treated us with exquisite dinners, true European breakfasts, wonderful stories and some family secrets. We shared a special German tart (Grandma's recipe) accompanied with their lovely presence to celebrate a birthday.||Our fishing guide, Willie Schmidt took us out on the Skeena River or our one day guided fishing trip and we had our quota in 3 hrs, finishing before noon. Our guide then took us to see the lava fields at New Aiyansh. We had a great day and the lava field trip ticked one off the bucket list. ||We felt this was a trip of a lifetime. The awards that Little Wolf Resort has received are truly deserved. This family made it hard to leave. ||Terrace's little secret. Shhh...||Rob & Terri-Lee MacDougall|Fort St James BC

The Little Wolf Resort should be number one on everyone’s bucket list!
This incredible property is located just outside Terrace BC in beautiful, tranquil forest with the Skeena River just out its back door. The location is only surpassed by the unbelievable lodge and accommodations, which feature some of the largest Cedar Trees used in construction both outside AND inside. This truly one of kind structure was built by the legendary Timber Kings who have been featured on the Discovery Channel, it is unlike anything you have ever experienced. Enter across imported tile from India and enjoy a drink and conversation in front of a 14th century European fireplace.
From there enter the dining area where you will be treated to incredible meals, we enjoyed Fresh Caught Halibut, Bone on Rib Eye Bison and Cedar Plank Salmon, all served with tasty sides. The breakfasts were excellent often including smoked salmon done in house by the Master himself Wolfgang. The Little Wolf is a truly family affair run by Wolfgang, his wife Gabrielle and Son Philip, you will never meet nicer, friendlier people who go out of their way to make your stay the most memorable possible.
The accommodations were spotless featuring 2 gorgeous Queen Beds, a large well equipped bathroom and a large sitting area, as well as plush bathrobes and slippers, you maybe in the forest, but you certainly won’t be roughing it!
There are an amazing number of attractions a short driving distance away including: lava fields, drowned forest, stunning waterfalls, Lava Lake and interesting Indigenous Communities.
For the avid fisherman it doesn’t get any better then this, you are literally within walking distance from the lodge to World Class Salmon Fishing, featuring every species imaginable.
We had the pleasure of dining with a lovely couple who were returning guests from Germany. They were gracious enough to invite me to go fly fishing for Salmon, despite lacking the the ability of my coaches I had an incredible time and we limited out on Salmon.
This was our second trip to the Little Wolf Resort, we are already planning our return visit and frankly can’t wait. While we were there they received an Award to add to their already large collection, recognizing the Little Wolf Resort as one of the Top Destinations in All of Canada.
I can not think of a better choice than the Little Wolf Resort and a more deserving group of people then Gabrielle, Philip and Wolfgang. Thank You so much for another incredible experience!!!

Words like incredible, unbelievable and awesome simply seem inadequate to describe Little Wolf Resort. ||||My wife and I have been blessed to stay in some amazing accommodations around the world. However, we have never stayed at a resort as impressive as Little Wolf. The beauty, tranquility and quality of the resort situated in a lush forest on the Skeena River is only surpassed by the service, hospitality and warmth delivered by family owners Wolfgang, Gabriela and Philip. This gracious family went out of their way to ensure our every need or want was not just met but surpassed. We felt like a king and queen.||||We opted to include the breakfast and dinners at the resort during our stay. We requested fish and seafood as this area of BC is famous for their wonderful salmon and other seafood. The food preparation and presentation were outstanding - a true culinary experience. Wolfgang prepared delicious cedar planked salmon that he caught fresh that day. We also enjoyed king crab legs, Dungeness crab, halibut as well as the different kinds of smoked salmon that was done in Wolfgang’s smoke house. Breakfasts were also impressive with a vast array of foods served so beautifully. You certainly will not go hungry as the portions were very generous. ||||Wolfgang demonstrated how to filet the salmon, prepare the freshly caught Dungeness crab and gave us a tour of his smoke house.||||The accommodations were wonderful. The room was spotless and included a large sitting area, two very comfy queen beds, luxurious bedding, towels, plush robes, slippers and beautiful bathroom. There are only 4 guest suites on the property, so it is a very quiet place. ||||The main lodge is out of this world and has so many outstanding features that a description does not do justice. From the moment you walk in the front door it takes your breath away. You must see it in person to truly appreciate the majesty of this place.||||This incredible resort was built by the Timber Kings who have been featured on the Discovery Channel. It is worth staying here just to experience this amazing build but there is so much more to enjoy during your stay.||||This part of Canada features world class fishing. The Resort has 5 miles of river front property on the Skeena River and is just a short walk from the main lodge to the river. You can fish for different varieties of salmon right on their property. ||||The family provided us with numerous itinerary options while in the area which we really enjoyed. We loved fishing on the ocean and river at Kitimat. Also were fortunate to see the salmon spawning. Another great recommendation from Wolfgang was to take the NISGA’A highway north of Terrace to see the lava fields, drowned forest, stunning waterfalls, a dip in Lava Lake and a visit to one of the Indigenous communities. All these experiences were fantastic and made for a great vacation. ||||The only trepidation I had in writing a review on the Resort is that once people discover this amazing place for themselves, it could be very difficult to get a reservation. Despite the concern, these wonderful people and stunning resort richly deserve all the accolades they are certain to receive.||||Thank you, Wolfgang, Gabriela and Philip, for giving us an amazing experience. We can’t wait to return!

Little Wolf Lodge is an absolute gem just outside of Terrace BC. We planned a once in a lifetime family trip with 11 of us ranging in age from 8 to 77. With a large group everyone had their own ideas as to what they wanted to do and of course their own likes and dislikes when it came to the food, as well as a couple individuals with severe allergies. Gabrielle, Wolfgang and Philip went above and beyond to accommodate the allergies and food preferences. Our dinners were culinary delights, from salmon cooked on a cedar plank the first night to halibut, lamb chops and a ribeye for the next three nights. Breakfasts were fantastic with everyone leaving the table totally full. We stayed for a week and did a lot of sightseeing each day. We loved that the lodge was central for our travels each day. Gabrielle, Wolfgang and Philip had no problem serving the meals according to when we had to leave in the morning or when we returned home in the evening. One morning we had an early 5am start to our day (we were heading to the glacier in Hyder) and they were out there with a couple of boxes containing a breakfast and a lunch for us on our travels.
The lodge is spectacular. The pictures do not do it justice. From the stunning fireplace in the main lodge to all the little essentials in the rooms, to the wonderful carvings on the outside of the lodge. We were all in awe of the beauty. The property is absolutely gorgeous.
And of course, being a 1 minute walk to the Skeena river to fish for salmon was icing on the cake. Having a few avid anglers in our group and a couple wanna be anglers, we could not have picked a better place. Everyone of them were grinning from ear to ear when they returned from the river, which they visited as much as they could. Wolfgang was kind enough to smoke one the salmon caught by our uncle so he could take it home with him.
From the moment we got there, Gabrielle, Wolfgang and Philip made us feel totally welcomed and at ease. Every night they would chat with us about places we should see in the area, answer questions we had about the lodge and the building of it, the history of the area and so much more.
We are all so glad that our time together was at Little Wolf Lodge. Our experience here could not have been better. Thank you Gabrielle, Wolfgang and Philip for making this trip so memorable for us that we will be talking about it for years to come.

Luxusurlaub definiert sich in "Little Wolf Resort" in neuem Ausmaß.
All
