Outdoor pool with great potential. Currently, The showers are old and outdated, with no privacy. Guelph really needs to invest money into updating this pool. Open it June 1 in keeping with hot weather. And please stop letting dogs swim in there, they can’t sanitize the pool well after, and that creates a public health issue for humans.

A nice pool along the river, near trees. That is, if the view wasn’t all blocked with concrete and a high metal fence that looks like a prison compound.

Like most Guelph pools, Lyon’s has a Broken recreation schedule. Please stay open longer, more consecutively, just hire more staff. For the only outdoor pool, surely a city of this size could do better.

If Guelph invested even a tiny portion of the gross tax $ collected into this old neglected facility, it would make a big difference in the Lyon’s leisure experience.

Pool is older but fine for swimming. Lessons here is a waste of money and time. Kids hardly got to swim. Whether it be chem levels or the weather they wouldn't let them in. One instructor was outstanding (Josh) and the others did what they needed to do. City of Guelph came to test the water dipping the tester just on the top of the water when in actuality it needs to be 12 to 18 inches under the top to be accurate

Fun place to go swimming. Going to miss it next year when they do the refurbishment of the pool.

This is a nice pool for swimmers and family to get some exercise and enjoy some sun. The lifeguards on deck are nice and friendly, and are diligent. The staff manning the entry counter don't seem to enjoy being there. Room for improvement here.

The facilities are OK. The water has more debris (leafs and insects) than I'd expect and the water pressure can be improved. The entry fee double-edged: You pay for each session so the pool's crowd is well regulated but it becomes very expensive. The city should enable a little overlap from one session to another instead of a sharp stop for each session.

Parking can be a bit tricky when there are baseball games occuring.

Overall, this is a nice enough pool and I enjoy swimming here.

Lyons Leisure Pool is nicely laid out with one section of the pool separated by concrete barrier for young children or non swimmers. The other section is deeper for swimmers. The pool has a ramp you can use to enter or exit that has a handrail which is great if you're unsteady walking. The only issue I had is personal preference. I like a heated pool and judging by the feel this pool isn't heated. It's easy to find. There's a nominal charge to enter but is good for entire day. There are picnic table(s) to eat at or just sit and watch the pool. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I recommend visiting here if your in the area in the summer.

This pool is definitely much colder than most as it's not heated but it does the job to cool you off on a hot summer day. Parking is not ideal and I've definitely never found any of the staff I've interacted with to be very friendly. It can get packed at times and it seems some families tend to take over. Would be nice if there was a bit more common courtesy but that's a humanity issue, not the pool's.
