I was craving for milk tea and was happy that macao imperial was still open even if it kinda late. We ordered 3 drinks in cheesecake series, however after waiting for a while as they only have one server the drink was so bad as if i am drinking a cold drink with a lot of ice, tasteless as it is. I can’t even distinguish if they really add enough taro flavor in it. It was just like a light purple drink with a little taste of taro and that’s for a cheesecake series. Same taste for the pearl milk tea and oreo. So much ice was there and tasteless not worth the money! So disappointed!

First time trying Macao in the Kelowna location and I can honestly say I’m disappointed. My partner and I decided to check out the Kelowna location and were pretty excited since we love the Macao location in Calgary when we had it. We ordered Oreo cheesecake and black sugar matcha, and from the first look it already looked unpromising but didn’t want to judge the book by its cover. The first sip we took was in the car and on our way home and safe to say that we don’t recommend this location. First of all, the oreo one was bland and the matcha was too bitter, we asked for regular ice and sugar but the ice filled up 70% of the drink and seems like no sugar was added whatsoever.

We haven't been disappointed with their boba options and taste.
They are very accommodating, they will switch out your pearls for something different. They were willing to add different flavours to add what I wanted. Even said it sounded so good they would look at adding it to the menu. They are always friendly. Probably the friendliest boba place we have been to. They have some food as well. We haven't tried any, except the tomato basil soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich was delicious, it has bacon but we had it removed so I am sure it would be even better with it. My daughter loves tomato soup and she enjoyed it as is. I thought it was good, however, felt it needed a little more sweetness to cut the sourness and a bit more basil as the fresh basil didn't punch enough for me. However, everyone is different. We go quite often to this boba place as the atmosphere and staff are wonderful. It is highly recommended by us.
What I get: Mango Pomelo Sago, change Sago for lychee jelly, zero sugar add 2 pump Passion fruit.
My daughter loves: Any of the cheesecake drinks and all slush ones.

Pearls were soggy and overcooked. Taro milk tea had no flavour and it was kind of warm. Pretty expensive for the quality. Maybe all the costs went to the thick plastic cups. Unfortunately, didn't taste so good even for Kelowna. I might try again, maybe a different flavour next time.

I’m a huge fan of bubble teas, and this place is positioning on my top 3 bubble tea places in town. With a lot of options of flavors and textures, the place is super nice and the attendants treat you amazing. Great experience as a customer and great flavor. Not to mention the accesible price VS size

Tried their milk tea and matcha milk tea. I LOVE it! Growing up, I had lots of good flavor bubble tea in big cities. And I have really missed the tasty bubble tea since I moved to kelowna. (And I have tried all the bubble tea stores in town.) I am glad that Macao Tea makes bubble tea as tasty as the ones I had back home. Its milk tea flavor is strong, and the tapioca tastes good. Staff are always friendly (plus they have a giant cuddly 🐻 in the store). Thank you for making bubble tea that tastes like home ❤

After a filling lunch, my friend suggested Macao Imperial Tea to me as a place to hang out. A Macau company created the popular milk tea brand.

The price is definitely justified, man. Even though this Creamcheese and Pearl Milk Tea has a distinctive and unusual flavor, once it touches your mouth, you'll be able to tell that it's REAL milk tea. The powdered milk tea isn't really her thing. It tastes milky and slightly salty like Nature Salt, which balances the sweetness of the milk tea. It is similar to the traditional milk tea in texture and taste before adding the cream cheese blend with Nestle Cream.

I am very unhappy as I paid $12.89 for a passion fruit tea with popping boba. Extremely overpriced for bad quality
