Been here several times, pretty consistent. 2 piece cod, saved half as the portions are large. Comes with many fries. You probably only need 1 piece per person but nice to save for lunch tomorrow. Very very good. Would recommend

We were in Port Hardy for the day and decided to have lunch at Macy's Place. Neither of us had been there before. For those wanting a regular dine-in restaurant, this isn't it. It's basically a food truck style operation with an outdoor seating area. The prices are decent, and the portions served from the somewhat limited menu seem generous; we had the two piece cod and chips ($22), and the pieces of fish were large. We passed a table on the way out where a guy was eating a burger that looked huge. Lots of locals were stopping here, so that's always a good sign. The main reason for the less than ideal rating was their fries which were so oily, you could hardly eat them. Little droplets of oil were actually visible on every fry. I was starving so I smothered them in ketchup and ate them anyways but I knew that all that grease would give me an upset stomach--and it did 😟 I'm sure my doctor, who has told me to watch my cholesterol, would not have approved!

My husband and I were camping in the north island and went to Port Hardy for the Canada Day festivities. We decided to grab a quick bite at Macy’s before heading back to our campsite. Hubby is a bit of a seafood chowder aficionado and he was so impressed with the chowder. Said it was probably the best he’s had, chock full of lots of different seafood. Great service and dog friendly also - well done on all levels 😊

Genuinely some of the best fish and chips I've ever had, and I don't really like fish and chips. Also you HAVE to get the chowder - probably my favourite chowder ever and loaded with seafood! Super friendly service, just come!

The fish and chips are crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. Hamburgers – juicy, perfectly cooked, and loaded with flavor. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Whole our family enjoyed lunch here. Highly recommended!

Best fish and chips I’ve had! And the chowder was so loaded 🫨 large pieces of fish, clams, shrimp and scallops! Even the bread that goes with chowder was so good. Great people and great food!
