When you look up Cookstown, one of the places suggested to visit is the Mad Hatter’s table. It’s a cute cafe with friendly staff. I’m an iced matcha latte girly who’s in search for the best out there. Matcha wasn’t in the menu but one of the staff said she can make it for me. It turned out to be delicious. I usually take my iced matcha with classic syrup but they only have maple vanilla. It wasn’t bad at all. We were also offered free bunny-shaped cookies for Easter. My kids loved them they had to ask for another one lol. We also tried the banana pecan muffin and the cheese and chive scone. We were not disappointed.

I came across this little coffee spot during a road trip and didn’t know what to expect! I was surprised when I pulled up to see such a cozy little nook nestled on the road. The inside screams “cozy” as well, but it didn’t scream “mad hatter”. The decor wasn’t very crazy, it didn’t have many homages to the beloved character but still had charm nonetheless. I got a maple latte and some energy bites. The latte was a bit too runny for my liking but it tasted amazing! The atmosphere is what won me over though, it’s the perfect spot to come and chill with some family and friends, read a book, grab a cup of coffee and gossip! Kind of like the perfect hallmark movie coffee shop for some feel good vibes. It feels very inviting and the service was short and sweet. No pressure to order like the big chain spots and the server calmly and politely gave us her take on the menu. They also have a small spot at the back of the shop for some marketplace goods. I would go again in a heartbeat!

Cute corner cafe easy to locate. I was greeted by the owner Debbie who recommended their brewed coffee with homemade pumpkin spiced cream. Also enjoyed their freshly baked seasonal pumpkin spice muffin which she mentioned was a huge hit, sold out prior to the day. Excellent selection of fresh baked goodies, good amount of seating and a gift shop area at the back.

A great place. Lovely shop, clean and very cozy. Muffins are tasty but a little dense, so my initial reaction for the food is not 5 stars, but I hope to come back and try their lunch specials or other baked goods, which I suspect will raise my food rating to 5 stars if they take as much care on that as they have for their coffees.
Price is higher than a chain, but that's expected for the quality and care you get there.
If you haven't been, give it a try, especially on a cool day when you can use a dose of cozy comfort.

Pros: house made muffins, blueberry cheesecake. Cons: the person who received us, instead of welcoming, basically asked us to either leave or take everything to go because they were busy. They sell five kinds of sandwiches and at 12:30pm there was no more chicken, it is hard to believe that they couldn’t plan to have more. Our sandwich came with a single plastic-like fried egg instead of chicken breast and over fried, almost burnt, bacon. Month-old pictures showed sandwiches with a salad on the side but we only got two slices of cucumber and two cherry tomatoes, not sure if they had also run out of those items or if we had to pay more for it. $15 for a thin sandwich is not worth it. We went there because of the high rating but it is not realistic.

This special spot in Cookstown has maintained a 5 star over rating over 50 reviews and rightfully so!

It's a combination of a bright, clean environment, helpful and pleasant staff along with fresh, delicious food that keeps this establishment at a high level.

The provolone and mushroom grilled cheese on seed bread was spectacular and the salads really good along side their house made dressing.

Mad Hatter's Table is definitely a spot you'd better stop!

We love Mad Hatters!!! My friends and I have been going here for a few years now and we are obsessed with this Cookstown treasure. Everything from their coffee, tea, baked goods and salads are delicious and fresh. My favourite thing to order is the quinoa bowl with the delicious balsamic dressing (which I’ve tried to make myself but cannot get it to taste as good as Mad Hatters lol). You must go and try it if you’re in the Innisfil area!
