Very bad experience. I ordered chicken lollipop, and it was absolutely disgusting. The chicken was stale and smelled rotten definitely not fresh. It was so bad that I couldn’t even keep it in the room; I had to take it outside and throw it far from the hotel because of the unbearable stench. Completely unacceptable. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I had a really disappointing experience here. It took almost 1.5 hours just to get our food, and while I understand the restaurant was busy, I had only ordered a simple meal: Paneer Kadhai, Garlic Naan, and Rotis. The garlic naan looked like the pre-packaged ones you get at Walmart—not freshly made at all.

What really ruined the experience was finding a hair in the Paneer Kadhai. To make things worse, we noticed the chef wasn’t wearing a cooking cap or gloves, which raises serious concerns about the hygiene in their kitchen.

I had also ordered another Chicken Dish but I ended up cancelling the order! Felt bad for the staff who was serving us, but couldn't trust the quality of food after the above incident.

Definitely not coming back. There's no excuse for poor food safety.

Average restaurant, but just one proper Indian restaurant we got in Midland.

Taste varies from time to time, they should maintain consistency.

Before chole bhature were very delicious, but now chole are very tangy with big pieces of tomatoes.

Samosas are nice though.

Pricing is on lower side.

I convinced my wife to try something new for dinner and I asked at our motel if there was a restaurant in Midland that offered Indian cuisine.
We were told about Maitreya and I can say that the food and the service were very good.
The servers gave us advice about dishes to try and were very pleasant.
Definitely this restaurant is worth a visit.

I had the best experience at Maitreya Authentic Indian Cuisine! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and made me feel right at home. The food was nothing short of exceptional—rich, flavorful, and truly authentic. I genuinely felt like I was enjoying cuisine from my roots.

This is hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted in Canada. Hats off to the chef for creating such an unforgettable dining experience.

“If it were possible, I’d have the chef cook for me every single day!” That’s how amazing the food was.

Enjoyed dining in for lunch. Staff were helpful with the menu and recommendations on their lunch combos so we could get more for less.
Food was fresh and delicious, staff listened to our requests on how spicy (and little spicy) we wanted our dishes.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something different and enjoyable.

Astounding flavours. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. The server was very friendly, and incredibly helpful. They even have a selection of Indian soft drinks. Try something you haven't tried before!

First time here and was very surprised by the freshness of the food and friendly service. Reasonably priced and amazing food! Lots of parking at side of the building. I ordered the mango curry chicken special with garlic Naan and it was absolutely fantastic!!
They serve alcohol if you desire, lots of soft drink choices and great teas!
A real gem in Midland.
