We are from Quebec City and have been vacationing in Nova Scotia for just over a week. Craving an authentic Indian meal, we did some research and chose this restaurant. Honestly, it was well worth the detour. The staff were exceptionally kind and courteous, and the restaurant was impeccably clean with a warm and inviting atmosphere. We opted for takeout, and placing the order by phone was straightforward and efficient. On the way back, it was almost torture to resist the enticing aromas of the dishes we had selected filling the car. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our meal. We highly recommend this restaurant, and if we find ourselves in the area again, we would be delighted to return and explore more of their wonderful offerings.

I've dined at most Indian eateries in HRM, and while many are good, this one truly stands out. The portions are generous, the spices are perfectly balanced, and every dish bursts with flavour. The mango lassi, subtly spiced—perhaps with a hint of cardamom—struck a chord. A delightful experience...

It was our first time here n luvd every bite of our food❤️My kid luvd the cheese naan here. They were kind enough to customize without the chilli for kid! Kadai chicken was top notch and overall it was a great experience here ❤️

We’re visiting from Quebec and had the absolute pleasure of dining at Makhani, and what an experience! This Indian restaurant is a true gem in Nova Scotia.

The food was outstanding. Every dish was rich with authentic flavour . from the creamy, perfectly spiced butter chicken to the fragrant biryani and warm, fresh naan. You can tell everything is made with care and traditional techniques.

The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind.

If you're looking for delicious, high-quality Indian cuisine while visiting Nova Scotia, Makhani is a must-visit. We’re so glad we found it and will definitely return the next time we’re in the area.

If you’re craving Indian food, this place is a must-try! The food is absolutely amazing. At first, I only planned to order one naan and some chicken with gravy, but it was so delicious that I ended up wanting more. We ended up ordering additional dishes because everything was just that good.
