This is a great, locally owned bakery that translates its pride through the quality and goodness of their products. Their recent expansion has employed more people. You have to try their birthday cake. It's probably the best around.

We are regular buyers of MOM’s Country Style plain bread and loved it; however, the last few loaves we’ve purchased are dry and taste stale, even if they are fresh off the shelf with a use before day a week or more in advance. I’ve purchased the bread at 2 different grocery stores in Sydney. This is very disappointing and may cause us to change to another brand.

Every time I come to the Bay for vacay, I always leave with a trunk full of baked goods from McFadgen’s. In my years as a child my mother and grandma made home made bread. Fast forward to today, my gran has passed and me mother has dementia and doesn’t remember complex recipes. His dinner rolls are the same as me gran’s bread. Good honest hard working people in this bakery, always helpful and inviting.

Mcfadgen's 370g dark fruit cake - I love traditional English fruit cake but found this one not good. Not a substitute for Marks and Spencers.

I luv ur outcakes and the last 2 times I bought them they were terrible not at all fresh and according to the date they should be.didn't taste at all like your oatcakes normally do .this is terribly disappointing as they are not cheap.
