Currently under construction, kids are outside most of the time but the room in which the kids get together was too small. Great program and hope the new place will give more space to summer camps.

This is home to fairly good summer camps for young kids. North Van runs reasonably well structured summer programs for kids. Day camp leaders here are a mix of experienced staff and younger, university-aged students (it seems) -- all of whom appear to be "on it" in terms of ensuring fun, safety, and good behaviour. Bonus: not too much dragging kids around (our kids spent half their days on busses with other day camps on north shore).

Review for the 100% gated playground between the rec Center buildings: This is a super playground with all ages toys, slides, Teeter totter, shaded by the buildings, and great parking. The drawback is that the preschool-daycare uses his playground so it has limited hours of weekends, weekdays between 11 and 3 PM and evenings for the public. That said, I never see anyone here and it’s a quiet place I can read while the kids play. Note there is no bathroom. And there is a playground 50 m away if this one gets full or you come during daycare hours.

I believe it used to be a great place, but now it’s too old. The whole building is not well ventilated, and the smell of the washroom was everywhere.
