I always love coming here. First of all, everything is plant-based, which makes me so happy as someone who doesn't eat meat. It's so nice to not have to worry about restricting yourself on the menu. I can eat everything!

They have a lot of gluten free options as well, if that's a restriction for you.

I've eaten here quite a few times and my favorite dishes are the crispy tuna rice, and I love the aburi sushi as well. The cocktails are creative and tasty.

But my #1 all time favourite dish is the Peanut Butter Cup Pie. It's one of my favourite things to eat in the entire city. It's so good!

It's cozy and the service is always great.

Unique and tasty menu offerings! We decided to share a few appetizers so that we could try more menu items. Everything was delicious!
The only issue was that the Dan Dan Noodles were way too spicy for any of us to try and enjoy… and we’re not wimps when it comes to spice. Maybe it was just a fluke. Otherwise, excellent experience and very understanding and helpful staff. 😊

Absolutely amazing! Mila is a total gem — the vibe, the food, everything! But let’s talk about those fries… hands down the BEST fries I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy, seasoned to perfection, and seriously addictive.

Also, the complimentary bread was so good — warm, fresh, and full of flavor. Such a nice touch that made the experience even better.

Can’t wait to go back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited MILA, a vegan restaurant in Chinatown area. There were 3-4 options that were available in no onion, no garlic, and no mushroom or jain options. The staff was wonderful and very helpful in recommending the food which they could cater to my dietary requirements.
We tried tuna crispy rice, which was sushi, and Cacio e pepe, which was a pasta dish. Both were no onion and no garlic and no mushroom.
My husband tried red curry dumplings, which was amazing.
The food was good, and the ambience was wonderful.
The food quality is fresh with different flavours. The portions are less for the price.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Oh no—they updated their menu in May 2025—apparently, to more Asian focused. We frequent restaurants because we started to have a few favourite dishes. When they replace the entire menu, there's a danger that we might not have as many reasons to return for the new items. For example, our favourite smashed potatoes are no longer available, and the karaage tofu in the bao is no longer crunchy and soft, but is replaced by crunchy (fried) bean curd skin. The new menu now offer more unhealthy deep fried item. I'm not supposed to eat vinegar, the new menu has many pickled items. I tried the new menu with a non-vegan friend who ended up with Katsu Curry & Chicken as the only item she can order. She felt that the curry sauce was insufficient to soak the fried bean curd. I asked about fresh vegetables, so the server recommended Edamame Salad. For appetizers, we shared the Crab Onigiri and the new Katsu Bao. I liked the size of the Japanese style pickles because they are larger slices and not as messy as the previous bao. I did not enjoy the crispy fried bean curd, it was too much of a contrast to the soft white bao. I would not order the edamame salad again because it is really not that exciting, but at least the tofu that came with the salad is not deep fried. The crispy furikake rice paper was soaked with deep fried oil still, I would not touch that again. I did come back again with my partner because I was craving my weekend Pina Colada Pancakes. We ordered Crab Onigir, Katsu Curry & Chicken and Focaccia Sandwich. While the sandwich was good, it is not as good as the vegan Amalfi from Pressato. I felt some discomfort with the garlic in the curry sauce. For us, the jury is still out about the new menu.

PREVIOUS MENU REVIEW: Mila feels more like a bar than a restaurant, except that the bar is not that well stocked. We went there for vegan food: Feta Stuffed Dates, Karaage Bao, Aburi Lox Oshi, and Juicy Marbles Steak. The dates were interesting, the sweetness balanced with vegan feta, pistachio and maldon salt. Having tried konjac salmon oshi at Vegan Shoku Sushi and COFU, we were disappointed with the carrot lox, it somehow did not taste like salmon oshi although it is way less processed, of course. The tofu karaage in the steamed bao is more substantial and I enjoyed that dish. Our final selection, the Juicy Marbles, tasted just like a tough textured filet. The server tried to tell us that the kitchen is very clever in creating the 'steak' but of course, Juicy Marbles is brand for thick-cut vegan 'filet' available from Vegan Supply a block away. The steak was an adventure ordered out of curiosity. Honestly, if I wanted a real filet, I would buy the real Double R Ranch filet from Luigi & Sons and sous vide it. I would prefer this dish without the steak as I liked the combination of grilled vegetables and the potato. There are several items I wouldn't mind trying except they contain garlic, and our server wasn't really interested in accommodating my allergies. After not being overly impressed with the serve who lied to us, we weren't going to try Mila again. But one Sunday, we were heading towards another vegan restaurant in the area and noticed that there were plenty of seats. So, we tried it again. this time, we had a very sweet and kind server who really enhanced our brunch experience. We ordered Okonomiyaki Roll, Smash Burger, and the brunch pancake with pineapple. Everything was delicious. Somehow, I expected the okonomiyaki roll to be wrapped with okonomiyaki batter, but it was wrapped with nori and tasted fine. I appreciated the raw vegetables inside. The Smash burger was interesting, the double patty much thinner than I anticipated. The pancake was delightful as dessert. The re-hydrated pineapples were really tasty with a nice texture.
