I've had japchae twice in my life. The first time was in Toronto, at a fancy restaurant. I'm writing this review because Minji serves better japchae for 10$. It's take out only but that's the only downside.

I'll be completely honest my fiancé and I stumbles across a tiktok video that had done a review on Minji's and the food looked absolutely amazing. We live very close so decided to check it out one Saturday afternoon. It doesn't look like much from the outside and the inside is even more underwhelming but the food and the service made up for that 100%. As I've come to learn it is a husband and wife that own and run the establishment. The wife greeted us and helped us navigate the menu. There was a bit of a wait for our order but as all ordered are made fresh that is to be expected. The food was hot, fresh and delicious!! We orders the Korean fried chicken, the pork belly with Brussel sprouts, the shrimp curry udon, and the spicy beef bulgolgi*. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge!!! 4 dishes was more than enough for 5 of us (2 growing teenage boys). Highly recommend 10/10.

I ordered the salmon lovers plate at 29.95 plus tax and have been every week because I found it to be of great quality and a delightful treat. Tonight however the sushi portion of it had smelly bad tasting salmon. I telephoned to ask for a discount on my next order. He pretty much called me a liar and did not accept my request. Bad business and bad decision . Sadly he has lost me and anyone I tell about this situation as customers

Hey Minj’s. You’re great and the best place for Korean food in Simcoe County. You’re also the only place for sushi in Midland. I love your food but I don’t like the way you send soy sauce. How am I supposed to deal with this? Again, wonderful food and amazing presentation but if you’re sending me sushi I need a plastic ramekin of soy please. Also, if you’re looking for some good fried chicken, this is the place.

12/10! A truly amazing hidden gem of a restaurant. The Korean food is absolutely delicious. The quality and flavor would rival any restaurant in Toronto, and the portions (especially for the price!) are incredibly generous. Highly recommend to all. The jajangmyeon, fried chicken and japchae are phenomenal. Grab some take out and then head down to the waterfront for a picnic (this restaurant is take out only).

Highly recommend Minjis to everyone!
The sushi was absolutely amazing and so was their honey garlic chicken. I can’t wait to trynout the rest of the menu here. They have a huge variety of food options for everyone.
