Came here for the joey cape show. Ended up being early so we ordered food and drinks, and let me tell you both were fantastic. The hasslehof burger was sloppy as hell and amazing. But the star of the show was the fries, deep fried in duck fat and lightly seasoned with witch craft these fries could kidnap me for the weekend and have their way with me and I would be perfectly ok with it. You're missing out if you haven't tried the food here.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this establishment and was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service. The bartender, Jack, demonstrated outstanding professionalism and expertise, ensuring that every patron felt welcome and well cared for. The management team was also noteworthy, providing attentive oversight and guaranteeing a enjoyable experience for all. Overall, I highly recommend this venue for its outstanding service and hospitality

Nicely renovated and feels more spacious than before. Good sound for shows. Haven't tried the food myself.

It did seem like poor planning that they had 3 people working the door and only 1 bartender. Poor girl looked like she was in the weeds pretty good, a food expo had to come bartend.

Unfortunately our experience here was subpar. This was mine and my friends first time here and we came in super excited! From the start, our server was not super friendly, she didn’t introduce herself (we found out later that her name was Kelli) or ask how we were, instead she came up and said “just so you know if you sit up here the food will take longer, but if you want to stay i’ll be back in 5 minutes”. We watched her go around and bring food and drinks to other tables and chat with other customers instead of greeting us. I’ve been in the industry for 9 years so I completely understand being busy, but from the start the service felt very cold and unwelcoming. When she finally did come take our drink orders, I ended up receiving the wrong drink, which wasn’t a big deal because another server resolved it quickly. The next issue was that I ordered cauliflower wings but was brought out regular wings, I don’t eat meat so this was a little unfortunate as all my friends got their food out and I had to wait another 15 minutes or so for mine. The cauliflower wings I ordered had almost no sauce at all, and were terribly oily and salty. They also did not have the corn-cheese sauce or slaw as it described in the menu (photos of what i received vs. what the menu described attached). When I later spoke to a manager about this she informed me that they were out of these ingredients, but this was not communicated from the server at all, otherwise I would’ve ordered something else. My friends enjoyed their food though and the fries were good! Although the server never checked up on us to quality check, bring napkins or cutlery, or anything until they were done eating. The bill the server brought included these wings which a manager (who was quite nice!) ended up comping which I really appreciate! Overall it was a poor experience unfortunately, I as a server, hate to leave bad reviews but I think the server needs to work better on her service and being friendly to her guests.

The food was excellent. Chicken was so good, so fresh, every piece of the whole bucket! KoRNBrEAd, AMAZING. Do not miss the cornbread. Potatoes salad held its own and coleslaw was okay, its coleslaw. Service was excellent. Atmosphere is kind of like a tattoo parlour, kinda emo, kinda upscale motorcycle bar. Dark but fun and chill. I enjoyed myself, you should too =).

I would give this place a 2.5. I have been to this place twice and I am not too impressed. Here are the pros and cons of this restaurant

I love the concept of this place where everyone is welcome and that there is something there for those who have dietary restrictions. This is always a plus. The décor is arty, edgy, and yet it is rustic at the same time. It is a good place if you are looking for some live music and good times. Then there is the food.

I food and drinks are very good. I enjoyed the vegan breakfast and cider that I had in this place. Many people have reservations about vegan food, thinking that it can't taste good. I'm happy to report that this food did taste good. It was warm, savoury, and had a homey feel to it after you ate it. Now here comes the bad points.

The service was absolutely terrible! They got my drink order wrong twice and I had to wait 20 minutes for that alone. I ordered my meal when I finally got my drink and that took another hour for me to get it. I told my server that I still haven't gotten my food and that I was really hungry. He was good enough to check but that still took at least 5-10 minutes for him to get back to me.

I understand that people get busy, are overwhelmed, and understaffed but this was ridiculous. You guys really need to step up on that because your patrons do not deserve to be that hungry for that long. On top of that, they did not offer me a discount or pay for my meal to show that they were remorseful for this service. It's not right to make a person wait so long for something that should only take 20 minutes tops. Please fix this.

Comedy Monday night certainly makes Monday's better. Great venue to catch some up and coming comics and sometimes a surprise guest will show up which is pretty awesome. From time to time. I take in the odd live music show there as well. Staff seems friendly so that's a plus. I can't say much about the food as I havent had any yet but from what I've seen end up on tables looks good. Beer selection...well they have what I drink so that makes me happy too.

Was interviewed for a serving job here when they were switching over from Broken City. I was excited that more vegan food was coming to Calgary, and the owner told me that he decided on opening a vegan space because he felt it’s the most inclusive food out there. Now, it’s essentially just a glorified kfc. I feel heavily disappointed to see how quickly the owners put money over their values.

Aside from that, the staff have always been dismissive, the spot they moved the stage to is horrible for shows, and it isn’t a super inclusive space for queer folk. The only plus is the fact that the bathrooms no longer give me nightmares since renovations.
